Losing may have been the best thing for Auburn.

Not saying from a championship perspective, I still think we have a good shot of dropping another game and that will most likely knock us out of the picture.
But from a mental perspective I think it was good. It showed our team that there will not always be some miracle drive to save them in the 4th. Honestly I think we will play better in the first half of games (for this season and following ones) because of this.
Only downside is Duke is the kind of guy you get one shot to win trophies with before he leaves....I'm going to hate not seeing him in uniform next year with JJ to throw him the ball.

You would've need two miracle drives to make it close

Wait, didn't they learn that in the bowl game last year?

Oh god, we've resorted to the Tide's "losing makes us better" mentality.

we were driving the field down 8 points in the 4th (maybe the 3rd?) if you don't remember.
that game wasn't a smack down at all lol...auburn played an F- game for a quarter and then would have had to play A+ for the next 3 to make it up and they didnt.
we spotted MSU 3 TDs and didn't capitalize off turnovers, on top of getting fricked by the refs so excuse me if I don't think Dan Mullen hung the moon.

Personally I'm just excited to be back in the mix for bowl games like the Cotton and whatnot. Being in the BCS/Playoff hunt takes away some of the fun.

MSU & AU had the same 4 turnovers. MSU scored TDs off of turnovers. AU not so much.
