While not specifying what was ailing the senior running back out of Destrehan, new LSU coach Brian Kelly said John Emery was playing at "less than 100%" in the game. Begging the question: Why was he on the field at all?
"He wanted to go because he was like, ‘look, I’m gonna get banged up during the season. I want to know what it’s like not to play 100%, because I’m not going to be 100%,’ " Kelly said. "Just kind of that mindset says a little about him. He wanted to get out there."

This is a major difference from how players handled playing with injuries under Orgeron and even Miles.

Obviously, no one should be out there aggravating an injury but quitting for the year after getting a little banged up isn't cutting it anymore.

Does this mean that when Brian wins a NC at LSU, players will only be getting $50 bills on national tv instead of $100 bills that they got in 2019? :)

Seriously, I think Brian will do fine at LSU.

Gotta get two hundred dollar bills. Inflation is a bitch. That new hospital has to keep up with the times.

We need to expand to keep up. In addition to the children’s hospital, perhaps we can raid hospice programs and Catholic Charities.

They quit because they didn't care. Coaching wouldn't fix that.

Get higher character players.

That mindset will change when your 3-5 to start the season and then all of sudden Bama rolls around and you will have players that don’t wanna play anymore.

I am sure Emery sees the RB depth chart. Noah Cain has not even gotten there yet. Bradford, Goodwin, and Williams all looked to be worthy of snaps. So John dont need to get in a doghouse now.

I think there will be a difference.

Orgeron was a "players coach" which basically means players can come to meetings late, practice is cut short, you get to say and act like you want and you lose games you shouldn't.
