stupidity.

LSU's season would suck playing a bunch of cupcakes + arkansas every year.

I don't care if we made the sec championship 75% of the time. I want to see us play bama and florida every year. I could give a frick less about auburn though.

so.. on that note, move auburn over, keep the cross-division permanent rivals going but change alabama's to auburn and keep the LSU/florida going.

Yep make the West a joke and watch revenue for asses in seats plummet.

LSU/Bama is second only to UA/AU right now and appears it could continue that way for 5 or so years. Stupidity to frick with that kind of draw.

I agree. I just don't an LSU-Mizzou matchup in BR commanding the same kind of demand for tickets as battling with Alabama.

I agree.

Also, the great thing about the SEC is the games you get to see. Even as USC fan when we were terrible, it was still pretty cool to see top 5 teams come into town.

I always wonder how my Clemson friends can even get excited to go watch a gave vs Duke/Maryland/Virginia/Wake...

frick tradition. LSU will get an annual schedule of shitty competition.

I really hope my sarcasm meter just missed this one. ...LSU's divisional games would be a joke. I can tell you one thing, I wont be driving down to BR from north LA to watch those garbage games...

Obviously Bama has seniority so Bama will be staying put in the West.

Unless he made additional comments that weren't in the article you linked, I don't see where you're getting that from.

Drac, that will not happen. You can't have Bama and AUb geographically west of UF, yet have Gators to the West, not gonna happen..this isn't the NFC West circa 1977.

Not much difference in playing Alabama every year instead of playing LSU, just not as far to travel for Gator fans.

Renewing the Auburn / Florida series on a permanent basis will be good also.

Bring'em on.

Possible (though not likely at present) scenario that I've heard:

Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Ok State to West.
AU & Va Tech to East.

8 teams in each division. SEC has spoken to Oklahoma and hold up is Ok State. This is why Pac 12 looks more likely for them.

Va Tech is most likely the 14th barring something unforseen.

That would be a moronic way to division the SEC schools. You just as soon call it "the Bama Football & Hoops Schools Division" vs "The Meathead Football Division"

Bama would win their division in Football 8.8+ times out of 10. The other would beat itself to a pulp for Bama to play them in Atl.

P.S. MSU, UGA, and Old Myth are all north of Aub and Bama.

You'd have the ACC west. That's a shitty division if that happens.
