I don't mind if AU and UA join the East. We welcome them with open arms. I must say, if that happens, they better remove the annual LSU v. UF matchup. I would rather keep the LSU v. UF matchup than have AU and UA in the East. Simply because tailgating with LSU and going to TS every other year cannot be beat IMO.

Adding Missouri would likely hurt Arkansas' recruiting there and Illinois. Seems we've had/are having luck in those areas by pitching the SEC. Adding Mizzou does nothing to help from a recruiting standpoint.

Now, from a MONEY standpoint...

We'll have the ole USC path to the BCS championship game every year if this pans out.

Maybe so, but Freddie doesn't have the swag that Broadway Joe has.

That swag has gone to your head.

All this moving teams East crap has to stop!!! It's a REEEAAALLLYYY easy solution.

1) Add A&M to the West

2) Add 1 team (Va Tech OR NC State OR West Virginia OR Missouri) to the East

3) Stay at 14 teams for good!!!

Some people act like the SEC is going to immediately go bankrupt if we don't get to 16 teams if other leagues go to 16. What is so magical about 16?? Why can't 14 team leagues with the additions I described work??

I may be a little older than most on here, but the UT/Bama game has always been my favorite to attend every year.

It's a huge hated rivalry for both sides regardless of records. It's at the perfect time of year weather wise for football. Knoxville is a great place to be in October; second only to Tuscaloosa in my little world. Even the contrast in the colors are almost mythical to me.

I don't care if we get 200 million more per team, I'm not in favor of any situation where we lose the games we love to watch: UT, AU, LSU etc.

I assume that all fans are like me.. maybe that is foolish, but aren't the rivalry games what its all about? No matter what school you pull for.

I'm confident that Slive and the presidents and ADs are well aware of this and everything will work out no matter who joins.

This means the 14th team will have to come from the West and someone will have to shift from the east.
According to 24/7, the Big 12 members have agreed not to sue as long as the SEC doesnt go after any other Big 12 teams.

Fantastic news if true. I would literally rather add East Carolina to the SEC East if it meant stopping at 14 teams for good and keeping the current divisions intact. I'm THAT much against breaking up the divisions.

Agreed. Would love to play Auburn again every year, but UF-LSU games are by far one of the best games to go to for both fanbases.

Hell, we didn't 'go after' aTm, remember? We didn't invite anybody...
