One of the best non Auburn games Ive been to. Such a fun time down there. It would be a damn shame if this were to move.

I’m all for this - Jville isn’t really a prime destination, not sure what fans of either team get out of it.
I actually love Gainesville and want to catch a game in the Swamp. I’m sure UF fans would feel similarly if they made a trip to Athens.
Really hope this evolves into a home - home series in the near future.

I have mixed feelings about it myself. I grew up enjoying the tradition of that game but I do think both teams would benefit both in scheduling and recruiting with the extra home game every other year. I guess I could go either way

Fans got over the Iron Bowl leaving Legion field pretty fast.
comparing that game to this one is lunacy.

If this game gets moved to a home and home, it becomes just another SEC game. It basically becomes Georgia/Tennessee.

Not sure if serious
So where a game is played is the exact same thing as when a game is played? LMFAO
So tell me again why Auburn wanted the game moved? Was it to give them an "easier" path? Can't wait for this answer

Meh. I got my 4 years of partying in St. Simons and bussing down for the game.
I would only hate it for the students who would get to miss out on what is the best 3-4 day weekend in the fall.
But there is something to be said for having the opportunity to go down and see UF's campus and their stadium. The only thing that would bring me there would be a UGA football game. Other than that I would never have the opportunity to see Gainesville.
This right here. Georgia has a fall break and this is like a 2nd Spring break for them. Florida doesn't get out of classes for this game. I think Georgia will regret it if they push to get the game moved.
But I would like to check out Athens, and I know that change occurs and it is hard to stop sometimes. So whatevs.

so 3-4 years of a student getting to party takes precedence over 100 years of history and the most unique rivalry game in America. Got it.

Yes they both provide benefits to a certain team. You could make a stronger case that home field advantage provides the most.

Meh... I'm not buying that this thing is moving until the ink dries on a change. Kirby may want it, but we're recruiting at an elite level currently and I refuse to believe that changing this to a home and home significantly improves our recruiting.
The game is special currently. It will just be another game if it moves to home and home.

The difference is Auburn fans wanted DSOR moved up on the schedule. Most Georgia fans want WLOCP to stay right where it is.

Auburn fans didn't want DSOR moved up?

vast majority of Auburn fans dont care one way or another as the date of the game has no significance. If it helps Auburn win some games, thats what they care about. But if it doesnt change, its no sweat on our brows

This would suck for South Ga. Dawg fans.

The bitching wasn't close to what AU fans have been doing continually about the DSOR.And Kirby talked about recruiting as the primary reason for moving the game period.

What's the earliest the game would be moved?
