I'm probably the only person on this whole thread who actually has a degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

A&M is a farce on the field. They are here for the TX TV markets. Expecting them to actually contribute National Championships to the conference is flat out idiotic.

Because beating Aggy isn't really important relative to beating Bama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia (when LSU plays them).
Rather not play Texas every year or find out more about how Texas ran off 5, count em FIVE, members of the Big Twhatever/SWC. Arkansas and Aggy were good additions. Getting greedy would backfire and not be good for the charter members that are the foundational core of this conference.
