AU is building a $90 million football only building that's the best in the country. That's more than all of OM facilities. Money is no problem for them.

But that winning thing has turned into a little bit of a problem. Except for when you play Ole Miss. Auburn always beats Ole Miss and will continue to do so until they don't.

Someone tell big dummy about NIL and the transfer portal. It’s not like it used to be of getting a few recruiting classes under your belt.

Auburn is now and always will be a better job than Ole Miss.

t because you don’t like the a young, brash , up and coming whipper-snapper doesn’t mean they aren’t a great coach. He is.

Up and coming whipper snapper? He's older than Kirby Smart. Lane isn't 37 anymore. He's 47.

Most don't want him anyways. He hasn't proven he can win at a big program and sustain. Though sucking everywhere and just a little success at one school sounds like the type of coach Auburn would go after.

Lane is not the answer for Auburn. He is a runner, ask UT. Plus Auburn will beat Ole Miss this weekend. It is what we do.

Auburn is 35-10 over Ole Miss, Lane is 0-2 against Auburn and 0-1 against Mr. Potato Head.

Since 1965 Ole Miss has won 5 games and Auburn has won 33.

Mostly good post, in spite of a shocking miss with your very first sentence…Lane would be a perfect fit for Auburn. As for Auburn’s dominance over Ole Miss, that is just an unarguable fact. And yes, Auburn will probably beat Ole Miss this weekend.

We should absolutely make a run at him. I doubt he would come but we should absolutely back up thethe Brinks truck and make him say “no”.

Imagine thinking Lane Kiffin is a "young,... up-and-coming..." coach.

The guy has been in the highest echelons of football coaching circles for 20 years. I think he's a good coach. Probably not great, but very good. But he is a known commodity at this point. Dude has been around the block more than once. Hell he's already been shunned by the coaching community and fell flat on his face multiple times now. Lane Kiffin is anything but "up-and-coming".

I’ve heard that AU is still paying Cheesedicks buyout. If true, they wouldn’t be able to afford to hire Les Miles this time around

Why would Auburn still being paying a coach that had 4 years left on his contract 10 years ago? Message board fans are sometimes not too sharp.

Don't be dumb. Chizik was fired 10 years ago. He's had 2 stints as a DC at UNC.

Oh come on. Mississippi State has an all-time losing record

I think most people alive today are smart enough to know that those pre-segregation records don't mean much.

I mean, literally, WHAT has Ole Miss done in football since segregation? Answer? About the same as the rest of us who are not in "the Big 6" (including Arkansas and MSU), which is NOT MUCH. But, at least the rest of us in the SECW have managed to make it to the SECCG. Oh wait, well, you and one more. LOL
