This is a stupid take. Ole Miss was literally playing 3rd string and walk-ons in that game due to injuries. We had the injury bug bad last year. A halfway healthy Ole Miss team would have blown them out of the water.

Regardless of how far ahead of Ole Miss Auburn is, Ole miss will never catch up. I don't like being this way, but you've forced my hand.
Ole Miss isn't that far away from Miss State.

This is gonna be a close game. Vandy pushed the Ole Miss D around for a good part of the game, AU pass defense is not gonna give up 250yds to one guy. This game is good for AU on the road early kick and it is the week before Ole Miss plays LSU. Hell Kiffin was running HuNH under a minute to beat the spread saturday. Gotta be some Karma payback for, that,

I’ve already completed a program over the summer.
I can recommend it to you.

Dude is 17-3 his last 20 games at OM. That's not an easy job.

At people thinking Lane wants to start over at Auburn when he is 3 years ahead of where Auburn is right now.
Agree. He may eventually leave, but I don't think he'll leave for Auburn in its current condition. Environment is just way too volatile right now.

How has Kiffin done head to head against Harsin? As shitty as Harsin is he could still beat Ole Miss at their peak. Imagine what a competent coach could do.
We've always struggled with Auburn, even when Auburn sucks.

Oh come on. Mississippi State has an all-time losing record.

I don't think he's most Auburn fans' first choice but I doubt many would be disappointed with him. However, it is fun watching Ole Miss fans try to convince themselves they couldn't possibly lose another coach to Auburn.

Ya'll are going to be very disappointed in coaching candidate options in a few weeks

Harsin was the best option last go around. Who's Aub going to grab that's a sure fire thing?

I don't think it's impossible, just pretty unlikely. Ole Miss is going to match any offer out there, and he's got Ole Miss in a place where it can complete for a playoff spot.
I think that, if he leaves, he leaves for a place that will absolutely be in the mix every year. Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, that kind of place.
I do think he stays in the SEC, though. I think he likes the action.

Struggle with Kentucky and Vanderbilt+lose to a bad Auburn team = the Ole Miss we all know and generally don't care about.
It took Bama a game-saving play by a DB to avoid losing to an unranked team last week.

The Ole Miss / Bama game this year will be the one that decides the West.
There’s no reason for him to go anywhere. He’s already competing in the SEC West for division titles.

Daddy’s boy? Metrosexual? Savage? A lot to unpack here. Kind of sounds like you have a bit of a man-crush on him

Maybe. We’ll see.
Definitely won’t need it for the LSU game though.

Ole Miss is 21-8 in his first 29 games
The 29 games before he got to Ole Miss I think we were 12-17.
Just because you don’t like the a young, brash , up and coming whipper-snapper doesn’t mean they aren’t a great coach. He is.
