You labeled it logic….

So?
A valid argument can have a false conclusion.
Besides which, the author of the article didn’t predict a playoff run. He merely said that the pieces are in place.
I think he’s right, but probably just cause I’m not willing to put the work in.

You just went 4-8 in 2008.

Chicken needs to ban that troll. Trying to kick A&M threads started by A&M posters off tRant but likes the 10 daily troll threads started by other.

He didn’t make a valid arguement, because he only discussed A&M, there will be another team on the field in every game you play..they’ll have as much of an impact on its outcome as A&M.
Some of what the OP points out is valid, but In a vacuum it certainly doesn’t point to a playoff run. There are at least 2 teams in your division better positioned for that. Add in the East champ standing in your way if you get by Bama and LSU for the trip to Atlanta and I just don’t see it.

You think our defense is going to get worse?

It wasn't exactly elite last year.

This is a hinge point season for Jimbo’s Aggies.
If they struggle again like 2021 and 2022, he probably won’t get fired but would be one of those clear signals the program is in its end stages.
If they get back to the 2020 high watermark then I suspect Fisher will have a long tenure at College Station.

It was good enough to beat LoSerU by 2 scores.

A&M has 15 returning starters, more than any other SEC team.

Wonder if JayAg will come call you out for trolling and not talking football or does he only do that for non Aggies.

Wait. Posting the predictions of a sports analyst about an SEC team on an SEC board is a troll?
You know what they say about opinions? Here's another one from a sports analyst:
Matt Hayes, Saturday Down South: “The idea of Fisher and Petrino — two of the biggest egos in the coaching fraternity (and I say that with no malice, it’s who most coaches are) — standing side by side trying to win SEC games is frightening. Not because of the potential impact on the game, or the Aggies or the SEC. But because of the inevitable implosion, simmering from the moment they sit at the same table for the first staff meeting to introduce Petrino to an already combustible situation. The only thing lacking is ignition. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the match to set the thing ablaze: the quarterback position. Fisher believes he knows a thing or two about the quarterback spot. He’s coached 2 No. 1 overall NFL Draft picks (JaMarcus Russell, Jameis Winston), has 4 first-round NFL Draft picks at the position (Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel) and he’d just as soon keep his unofficial title of head ball coach/offense — but no one is hiring a guy who got pushed out of a dream job with a $95 million parachute. Fisher has to make this work. But instead of hiring a young, charismatic offensive coordinator with new ideas and the ability to recruit quarterbacks and skill players, the first move is apparently Petrino. The one guy who will absolutely make sure it doesn’t work.”

Sidewalk, stop trolling A&M all summer. I’m asking you to not clutter the board up with Aggie hate.

Our whole season really comes down to Bobby Petrino saving the offense and season.

Bobby Petrino will do the Heisman pose after A&M’s first score
