Absolute stupidity. This game should be played at the upgraded home stadium without question.

Stephens has his name on lots of stuff in Little Rock.

Little Rock is also full of philanthropy from Northwest Arkansas Big Money.

Where is the Stephens philanthropy at the actual UA campus and in Northwest Arkansas? Whatever goodwill this is creating with a handful of big donors, it's pissing off a large percentage of the core fanbase. I haven't talked to one person who thinks it is a good idea. It kills confidence in the decision-makers among a large percentage of fans, and it's a net loss to the program.

I just don't see how anyone could possibly favor LR over Fayetteville, that's as a visiting team fan that's been to both. LR itself is an absolute dump. There is nothing special about the immediate stadiuim vicinity, and the biggest appeal people tout is "tailgate on a golf course!" Ummm...ok? So it's grass that's laid out differently than other grass, waht's the big deal? The stadium is lousy. Fayetteville is the infinitely better venue.

The only people who favor LR over Fayetteville are a percentage of Little Rock people (even some of them prefer Fayetteville games) and big donor money like Stephens. They've been kvetching all over themselves the past decade as Northwest Arkansas consistently leads the state in economic growth, cultural amenities, and quality of life. There was even a recent proposal put forward by Stephens and some others down there for a riverfront "art museum" which was explicitly described as an attempt to "compete" with Crystal Bridges (Alice Walton) which is endowed to the tune of over $1 Billion. This is about a small state's capitol city metro losing ground for the past 20 years on another metropolitan area, as much as it is about football.

It really is only a small handful of people who like this plan. Go to any media poll and you will see the vast majority of fans want to end games in wms.

Just look at the reaction of every other fanbase. They think it's idiotic to play home games off campus in a run down stadium.

The only way I see that we should continue to play games in little rock is to charge for tailgating.

Get rid of the free lot and charge $5000 for each tailgate spot. This will ensure that we will make some money back for playing in that money hole.

Nobody is going to pay $5K to tailgate for MAYBE 2 football games in little rock, with the main selling point being "but it's a golf course".

"You must be a whine and cheeser.... or let me guess.... A YANKEE!" --- will claim some war memorial fan.

The majority of the fanbase agrees with you and we are glad that outside fans are making this statement..... b/c Razorback fans get attacked for speaking the truth.

Not sure I've ever seen pictures of it. It's definitely small.

But it's the best tailgating the SEC. Surely Stephens will help us all by buying the tailgating for us.

no, the the governor and legislature care what his son thinks. and they give the UA system around 1/2 a Bill annually.

UA isn't just Fayetteville. UAMS is more important.

Interesting tidbit. My grandparents went to that game. My grandmother was in poor health and so they got to see the game from field level because my grandfather was in law enforcement and received some much needed help from the locals, even though he was from Missouri. People were very welcoming before the game; glad to play Mizzou and tired of playing "dirty" Ole Miss. Mizzou won the game on a contested play at the end. Not sure if true but remember my grandfather saying the local paper, the next day, said the only difference between Mizzou and Ole Miss was the accent.

They always play the worst teams there. I don’t see an issue with it.

So the hogs will play EVERY 'last game of the year' AWAY from Fayetteville. That has to suck!

No, let's be real here. Every city has a nice area, but Little Rock is crime infested, very high murder rate and all in all a terrible city to live and work in. Don't put lipstick on a pig, this really is a horrible decision for the Razorbacks and a huge step backwards for the program.

UA and UAMS are comparable in their research $$$ and their economic impact. In no way can you assert that "UAMS" is more important.

Plenty of NWA philanthropists have funded UAMS projects in Little Rock. Like I said, Stephens only cares about Little Rock, so spare me the dramatics about how Fayetteville should give a shite about Little Rock. NWA money has done more for Central Arkansas in the past decade than Central Arkansas money has ever done for NWA.

The growth in the business sector in NWA has boosted this state tremendously. NWA says yes to Wal-Mart and other fortune 500 companies while little rock turns down FedEx and does embarassing crap like this when they are spurned by Amazon:

I'm being real- I don't want the games there either but LR gets far too shite imo. I've been around the country, I've seen nice and I've seen shitty places- there's far worse than LR.
