- Pork is the only real barbecue

- Chili is not chili without beans, otherwise it's just meat sauce

Yell taking on the TU thing is nice. They will hate that and it feels like we made a contribution.

It’s pretty good, but I prefer Texas or Kansas City style preferably.

LEGIT

My problem with most red sauces is the sweetness. It’s not bad, but it’s just too sweet for me. White sauce has a nice tang to without being being sour or harsh.

Texas A&M has called Texas “TU or TSIP” my whole life.. it bothers me as much as Horns Down bothers me.. Not at all.

It's good on chicken IMO. Bama and Auburn folks can defend it since it's theirs. Kentucky does barbecue mutton which is pretty damn good with a worcestershire based barbecue sauce.


Does Oklahoma have any unique barbecue traditions we don't know about? We all know Texas and brisket and beef ribs and tri tip.

I dont know about unique we just have our own spin on how the sauces should taste and how moist or dry the meats should be. Head County bbq sauce is from Oklahoma if you've ever tried it and gives an idea how we like our flavors. We do sauce on the side a lot instead of smothering the meat.

Traditional Oklahoma barbecue is wood smoked and the only thing unique I can think of is burying a pig in the coals and cooking it underground. I dont know how familiar yall are with that.

They do a lot of whole hog barbecue in the Carolinas but usually over a pit. Their mustard sauce is my personal favorite for pork Q.

Yeah, barbecue is definitely smoked meat, serve sauce on the side

Kentucky is too close to that shite known as Skyline "Chili" if you have this opinion.

Texas Red with no beans is best chili.
