Saban
Fisher(he has a ring and has quickly brought Aggies up)
Ed O
Smart/Mullen - One better recruiter one better developer but neither has a ring

SEC has a lot of very good coaches but only one elite coach right now.

Give them all equal talent in order:
Saban
Kiffin
Mullen
Jimbo
Kirby

He is just another Houston Nutt.

His three game losing streak this season is a good example of that.

Jimbo hasn't done anything meaningful as a coach since 2014

Give Jimbo time .....He'll turn A&M into the present day FSU that he created.

The fear and denial of what Jimbo has done and has built is almost palpable.

win the SEC and I'll take back my comment. He hasn't done enough to be considered the second best coach in the SEC if he hasn't won the SEC.

I'm not writing off the possibility of this happening. But he needs to prove himself in the SEC which he hasn't yet.

Fisher’s next step is to win the SEC. Whether he does remains to be seen - beating Alabama is the key

Florida's record vs Alabama is better than LSU'S record of 1-9.

Using your logic then Fisher owns O.

Very hard who is 2nd. I gave it to Jimbo because he backed into a national title with thug Winston at qb.

In your title you said "right now". Mullen is ahead of Kirby and Kiffin "right now".

In all fairness and honesty I have a couple of things I would disagree with from your list:

1. What has Kiffen ever done as a HC. Why all the love? He has not been successful as a HC anywhere, YET.

2. What has Mullen done in the SEC that Kirby has not? He took a team that was supposedly better than Georgia's and promptly lost 4 games....one by an inferior team that was directly tied to a decision he made (sitting Pitts) and the undisciplined acts of a player he developed. (Marco Wilson)

3. What has Jimbo done that Kirby has not in the SEC?

4. Why give them equal talent? Recruiting is a part of being a head coach. If they don't have equal talent then it is on the head coach, and it reflects badly on their coaching ability. This is more than about game day coach. It is the program, recruiting, dealing with issues with boosters. Head coaching is about a lot of things....including recruiting.

Mullen is ahead of Kirby

How so? I mean Kirby has his own mistakes in big games, but so has Mullen. And, Kirby has brought Georgia to a much higher level than Mullen.

If you want a snapshot of right this instant, and use only this past year, Kirby had a better record, and beat a higher ranked team in the bowl game, while Mullen got blown out by Oklahoma and lost to a team he was a huge favorite to beat. AND, Georgia ended up ranked higher than Mullen's team.

ETA
I should say that Mullen is entering into his 4th year at Florida and the coming year should tell us more about how good he is. He will have all of his own players and any failures will be squarely on his shoulders. Same goes for Kirby.

1. Saban (Goat)

2. Mullen (coaches em up with anyone)
3. Ed (coached perfect team...talent is back)
4. Fisher (has a Natty...on the right track)
5. Richt (great recruiter and close)
6. Stoops (built from crumbs & loyal)
7. Pirate (done it all over and will at State)
8. Lane (Chance to be a great but does anyone think he’ll stay somewhere longer than 4 years to build something?)
9. Drink (Good start & can close in the living room and game)
10. Pittman (Good start but can he keep offensive staff?)
11. Harsin (huge recruiting drop off already)
12. Heupel (was trending down at his only head job at UCF)

13. SC newb
14. Vandy newb

He’s the only one in that list other than Saban who has actually won the conference.

Did I just warp to an alternate universe where Kirby beat Ed. O in the SECCG in 2019?

If Florida is 3-7 against LSU in the last 10 years and we are 1-9 against bama.... man would y’all be 0-10 against bama if y’all played yearly?

Good thing y’all only play in sec championships to get your arse beat. Would be rough watching it every year.

Btw last time Florida won a championship your incoming freshman were 6...

Weird, I don't remember Richt winning the SEC or multiple BSC bowls games his last 8 years.

Why are you comparing Smart's first five years to Richt's last eight years? Richt won two SEC championships to Smart's one in the first five years. And Richt took over a program in slightly worse shape than Kirby did. Kirby has been to a NC game, but the playoffs weren't a thing in Richt's first five years, or his '02 team would have been in it.

Because that’s who we fired and who we hired. Don’t be stupid
