Makes me a little more nervous wondering what insider news has come across the handicappers desks that would cause the line to move so much in the last couple days.

Yeah these lines are very accurate look how well they worked for Bama the last two games.

Heavy betting from the public on FSU. The lines on the other BCS bowls were big too.

I don't think there is any insider news. People just think FSU is that much better.

Quit worrying about a damn Vegas line. Iron Bowl opened as a 9.5 and went up to 10.

What was it before? I'd still take FSU with that line

It's been moving a bunch. I wouldn't touch this one personally.

Clemson's win over OSU... and to a larger degree Bama getting throttled in the Sugar Bowl... has really moved public perception on the two teams even more than the original 7 or 8 points.

This^^ The line is set to get equal betting on both sides. If they raised the line, then there is a ton of money being bet on FSU. They are trying to entice betting on the AU side of the line.

Sportsbooks said at open that the true line was closer to FSU -10.5. They set it much lower to attract FSU money because of AU futures.

Oddsmakers say the exact opposite is true.

Public will nearly always take points in championship games regardless of sports (especially when getting a +9 in football).

Wait, so FSU is supposed to win by 10.5? I thought when it first came out it was Auburn by 9?

Not as much in the UGA game, but Bama yeah. Auburn has stumped books all year.

They aren't infallible; best bettors in the world hit 58-60%. Still not a good sign though

If it makes you feel any better, I would pick Auburn in a pickem if my money was on the line.
