But will Venerable be any more success as a coach is the question
Why would he not?
He won a title at OU
He won 2 titles at Clemson
He has rebuilt the team from ground up. Top 10 classes all 3 years, so has the players. Has played SEC often while at Clemson so know what it takes.
This year may not fully showcase the rebuild, I think 25 is the big leap year. He’ll be good this year - but of the 8 SEC games - 6 of them are ranked in top 20. Thats a tall task in year 1. But a worse record won't mean worse team (compared to this past year) when put in perspective.
I think some SEC fans will come to hate BV in a few years. A different kind of hate than now. Now they just hate him for past reasons lol. Future will hate him for the next few seasons when he wins.
I think he’s a fine coach. He really does care about the players and their future. He is all OU, in his forever job. Has several players returning who could have went pro. His defenses will be stout, far cry from offense only under LR. Yet his offenses will be good too.
This will be a learning year, take our lumps. 2025 will be the year he really breaks out

What an absolute bitch move. Almost as bad as dropping out of a Bowl Game for sniffles.
Or blaming their shitty defense of a title in 2020 on sniffles.

His best teams ever got punked in the playoffs by Alabama, Georgia, and LSU.
He wants no part of the SEC. Hell, it's the reason he's at USC in the first place.

Hilarious to me that literally the summer after he ran from the SEC, USC joined the Big 10.
Watching A USC road game late season when it gets cold will be hilarious

He ended up with a fairly favorable schedule overall, but even if he takes advantage of it, OSU is going to destroy him in the B1G championship game.

For what it's worth, his only potential cold weather game this year would be Washington.

And USC is PISSED that Oregon came along too.

This is the same guy who fired Jerry Schmidt and replaced him with a yoga coach.

Didn't Georgia duck out of a game vs Oklahoma last year? Are we to assume that Georgia is scared of the Big 12? Of course not. This a big fat nothing burger of a take.

Uga and OU chose to not do a single game of a home and home like any reasonable duo have done.

I think Riley is exposed as the current Jimbo Fisher this season. USC should be in a position to compete nationally every season. They won't. Riley is a scam artist just like Fisher. It is unimaginable, with as much as is at stake, that USC boosters will continue to allow Riley to coast through life at the salary they are paying him.

Riley's a bitch. Simple as that.

Doubt it. There isn’t a single school in a single conference that would object to getting Oregon at 1/2 price for a decade(UCLA and USC are full B1G members). SEC doesn’t pull that 1/2 crap but could have easily had those guys as full members or forced the B1G to pay up if that is what they wanted.
This fact that this was simply a no-brainer makes me believe the realignment news is at least a little bit exaggerated.

USC tried for nearly 2 years to find a way out of a contract to play LSU in Las Vegas because Trojans coach Lincoln Riley didn’t want the game, multiple sources told Saturday Down South.
He should have just called Kirby. Always talk to a professional.

Jesus, don't you newbies read up on actual information instead of PPC campaigns for social media clicks??
Not sure why you think GA ducked the game, same can be said for Oklahoma ducking GA under your logic.
But what actually happened is since OU was coming into the SEC this year, ALL involved decided to not tamper with the future scheduling of the home and homes coming up. Because GA couldn't of had a return Home game. There would have been a one time away game, which made no sense.
Thus, the SEC admins cancelled the game for the benefit of the SEC scheduling overall
P.S. - GA would have beat OU's arse last year
