What does Kiffen have to do with the topic?

Maybe learn to spell your new coach's name correctly.

Also, didn't we just do this topic?

And your point is what? How does that affect things? The Gumps lost a sizable advantage?

Sure they grew to love him, but how many knew him when he took over for Saban?

Exactly, I'm sure if DeBoer wins a natty in the next year or two everyone will say they love him too

How many playoff games has Kiffin won as head coach?

Ask ole piss.

Can't win one at LSU until you start coaching at LSU.

That is indeed the point. When Les Miles first arrived at LSU, he had a full roster with sizable depth at every position. This was courtesy of Nick Saban who had recruited well over the previous three cycles. That was clearly a sizable advantage Les Miles enjoyed that Kalen DeBoer does not thanks to the transfer portal.

I think NIL and the transfer portal should also be considered. It's whole different world now.

You could probably find arguments in one of the other threads LSU fans already started on this topic since it gets posted by someone almost daily.

So far, here is a list of narratives since the BK firing...

LSU is poor and doesn't have the buyout money to fire Kelly. WRONG

No one is gonna want to coach LSU now after the governor. WRONG

LSU doesn't have the money to hire a good coach. WRONG

No one wants to play for Lane. WRONG
He actually signed the best portal class ever.

Leavitt left without signing and doesn't want to play for Lane. WRONG

Kiffin can't sign a QB. WRONG

Jordan Seaton is using Lane to get more money. WRONG

Time and time again people have doubted and every time they've been wrong so far. That's just off the top of my head. And after being wrong every time, there has been a pivot to "well he won't do this" or "yeah how did that work out before." There is always a pivot and it is fricking glorious!

What's the question?

I think it's beyond dispute that the landscape of college football is VASTLY different in 2026 than it was in 2005.
