OU is not Nebraska. They will be fine long term. OU is very SEC. I like Texas and I’m glad they’re in SEC but their fanbase won’t handle losing when the honeymoon is over for them. Texas has recruited very well and nil has benefited them more than OU. But, all things change and the Bama dominance for 15 years will not be duplicated in the new era of playoff ball.

Texas is riding high with benefit of easy Schedule and huge collective buying expensive cars etc for portal players.etc etc.

Both are great additions to the conference and OU will have their day.

Hope you got receipts for those anecdotes and not screen shots from Fake Alt-Sock accounts.

So 'TEXAS' = 'THE ENTIRE SEC'?

Ya see. Arrogant asses. This is why we hate you and so does everyone else. Enjoy your win and we'll see you next season!

Case in point!

This is just a deranged whorn fantasy based on their own long-term failures.

It's not the 90s. Keep dreaming....

Oh okay you must be right. OU will compete for the SEC title next season.

Whether we compete in the SEC CCG next year is irrelevant. It doesn't mean we're "going to be down for 10 years like teh 90s"

Retard.

OU will be fine. It’s a weird year with lots of injuries. They’ll be top third most years.

We probably have the same record right now if we were still in the Big 12. Our offense just isnt good enough this year to win games. Our recruiting is doing fine with the SEC bump.

Offense Production for OU this year:

Total Yards per Game - 287.7

Passing Yards Per Game - 166.2

Rushing Yards Per Game - 121.5

Losing Lebby hurt pretty bad.....

2023 yards per game - 507

2022 yards per game - 474

We've been running Lebby's offense all year. Would he run the exact same plays better or something?

I also do wonder if this season would be different with a healthy OL and/or not losing WR 1-5.

It wouldn’t.

Nobody said ou would be down for "10 years." It was "several years like the 90s." ou didn't get above .500 for five consecutive years during that decade. Half a decade is several years of it.

From Littrell's own mouth, he has blended in some of his own concepts/plays with the Lebby playbook. So no, OU is not running the exact same stuff as last year.

There's room for discussion on Littrell's playcalling and what parts should be emphasized along with which players.

Yes, he has. Up until the texsa game, he has run the exact same plays Lebby ran to the letter. I watch Oklahoma every game. I think I'd know.

Hawkins outscored Tenn in 2nd half when he came in as a true freshman. Then went and beat Aub on road. But our OC had a crap game plan vs tx.

And you can add the fact Texas had a very sound defensive gameplan. In large part, they were all over everything OU tried to do

That'd be my guess...but I'm not sure what anyone told us we don't already know. I and most of us expect at least one loss. No team is getting through this season without a loss.
There are a few who boast but they'll disappear as soon as we drop a game.

I'm going to believe the players over your opinion. I couldn't find a direct quote from Littrell himself but it is out there somewhere.

Player Quotes on Littrell System

"I wouldn't say there's a big learning curve for Coach Littrell, but obviously he's a different person than (Lebby), different personality,” Arnold said. “Maybe calls some things different than Lebby, focuses more on certain things than Lebby would. So I wouldn't say it's a learning curve, but, you know, just kind of getting to know Coach Littrell and seeing what he likes, and seeing how he likes to call a game has been big for me this fall camp."

“We're running a lot of the same stuff and it's just good to be back with him and kind of just picked up right where we left off,” said tight end Jake Roberts, who played under Littrell at UNT for three seasons before transferring to Baylor after Littrell was dismissed.

“Some of the same stuff, similar concepts, a lot of different verbiage. Some similar stuff, some different stuff, but it's all good.

No they won't. You sound scared of what the future holds when you say stuff like this.

OU is a natural fit in this conference imo. They just don't have a QB or any healthy WRs. Tough to win in any conference like that.
