Y’all don’t even play Kentucky or Florida on a regular basis but you hate them more than LSU? Hahaha ok. Also, a toss up between Mizzou and LSU? If anything, those ought to be your two main rivals because those two beat Arkansas regularly.

Not trolling. I was dead serious. It could be a legit rivalry. I’m really hoping The gus bus burns down at Auburn and Arkansas’ new coach picks up the slack. Give me a top 15 matchup with a sugar bowl on the line and college gameday in BR for the game with the golden boot on set. I definitely see potential here but maybe I’m just crazy and this is wishful thinking.

Pretty much.
Kentucky is a basketball thing. For Florida its the history we have them thanks to some horrible calls that went against us.
As for beating us all the time... you're 6-4 in your last 10 games against us. And that period of time includes the worst 6 years of Arkansas football statistically speaking of all time.
I'm sorry. You are giving a noble effort here and all... but we just aren't that into you. The most you might get from us is annoyance that the parking near the French Quarter is a pain.

Ole Miss is about as hate-able as a kitten (ugly kitten but kitten nonetheless), LSU cooks well, UTenn why unless you're still crying over the Stoernover 20 years later?, Bama is just better than us, Aubs well I'll allow that one, MSU is the cute kitten, not hate-able either. When the Hogs entered the SEC, Tennessee was one of our permanent East rivals. They took the place of Texas as our main villain. We lost to them about 3 out of every 4 times we played so it was very similar to playing Texas. We legit hated the Vols.
Once they changed the scheduling, and we didn't play Tennessee every year, LSU became the Hogs focal point. The Boot trophy and the day after Thanksgiving may have helped drive this. Game doesn't feel very important to me now that we play earlier in the year, but still feels like a bigger game than playing Mizzou. Nothing against Mizzou, but it feels about as much as a rivalry game as playing SCAR or Mississippi State. Just no real history there.

Yea I’d imagine the Arkansas-Tennessee rivalry was decent back in the day. I’m sure Memphis was a melting pot of Vols Rebs and Hogs fans

It was mainly because they were Orange (different shade) and was called UT. We had been conditioned our whole lives to hate the Whorns so that was enough to hate the Vols.
Arkansas had some old history with LSU and Ole Miss back in the 50s and 60s. I wouldn't mind having a real rivalry game against LSU, but if the 2006 and 2007 seasons didn't do it then it may never happen.

The 3rd Louisiana Infantry Regiment, assisted by Louisiana cavalry, thoroughly burned and looted Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1862. This included destroying the college when stored shells began exploding after the buildings were fired.

Do you have a gif and/or pic of your student section covered with that god awful “bring back the boot” bullshite or whatever it said? I’d say that’s prime little bro stuff there. Oh yeah and LSU won by like 30 and guice is still running.
