I’m pretty sure Arkansas fans, students and players hate LSU and view it as a legit rival. Older LSU fans always overlook them even after they have beat us in previous years. It seems like we both have no main rival like instate or out. I don’t see why this rivalry couldn’t turn into something real? What do you say Hogs fans? Hate us or don’t give a shite?

I’ve encountered my fair share of Hogs fans who really hate LSU. maybe that was just during the golden years of LSU when we were winning titles

This feels sad, are you really begging Arkansas to treat your game more like a rivalry right now? What the hell has O done to you guys?

I don't really see this and didn't when I was in school. The boot does add a little something extra, since as you mentioned there really isn't a true rival but I think the great/close games over the years has just added more attention to the match up.

It definitely gets over looked because by the time the two teams play, nothing is on the line. It’s kike Arkansas is fighting for a bowl game and LSU is fighting to get to 10 wins. It’s very bleh from a national perspective. We need a top 15 matchup with a NY6 on the line

I’m almost rooting for Morris to get them relevant again so the game has meaning for once. I’d rather see Arkansas be good than Ole Miss or Auburn in the west. Just someone new to shake things up.

We have shaken things up before. The hiring of Bert just undid all that Danny Ford, Nutt (he had SOME success) and Petrino had worked for

I guess it takes years and years of big ranked matchups for it to get spicy.

I think that you are trolling but I agree with you so I don't know how to respond

The games in 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2011 were pretty big.

There are probably some fans in central and south Arkansas who don't like LSU since there are some LSU fans down there, but it seems like Northwest Arkansas doesn't care one way or the other...some may even dislike OU more.

Some of our players are from Louisiana and are friends with LSU players. And like half of our students are from Texas, so I don't really see it there. There is probably more disdain in baseball since we can never beat you guys no matter how good or bad each team is though.

He did a decent job of being subtle with it at first but couldn't help himself

Did I miss the memo and today is teams Arkansas fans don't particularly care about try to pretend we have a major rivalry day?

Your major rival is Tulane... unfortunately they don't play in the SEC any longer. Our major rival is Texas. Unfortunately the SWC is deader then disco.

If I had to make a list of who we look at as rivals in the SEC, even on a minor scale, it would be Ole Miss first, A&M (they'd be #1 but we share a common bond of hating that school in Austin), Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, Alabama (just because they're the best out there), maybe the Vols, then a tossup between LSU and Missouri.

No one in the SEC hates LSU enough for you to be major rivals. Maybe A&M will get there eventually but even then you'll always be a distant second to the Whorns.

The only reason people troll LSU all the time on here is that you know you'll always get a few bites.

The only place where this is a rivalry is far north Louisiana and far south Arkansas. Being from there it's more about bragging rights where the two fan bases meet. Other than that its just another 2:30 CBS game.

This. If Arkansas went 1-11, I would want the win to be against Ole Miss

That is a fair point, I'm sure it means much more living on the border.
