Tenn had a player back in '07 or something named Hood or something. Can't remember. Those guys were fun to watch.

But we may well have scored big on the recruiting front. Thompson-Boling Arena was absolutely live and the recruits that were there took notice. Imagine what Barnes will do if he gets some elite talent.

Fun fact, everyone: Kentucky was the very first program to ever receive the NCAAs "death penalty."

Why is Ark arguing with UK? In terms of men's shooty hoops, Kentucky is the undisputed king in our conference.

At any rate, I will say that UT-UK are the ones who should be in the shouting match. Don't take my word for it tho, ask UK fans -- we're their shooty hoops rival in the SEC despite not being all that great.
While the powers that be have tried to make it Florida the fans will tell you the truth on this. We had a keg/barrel that was passed around with wins (both basketball and football got it at first and then it went to football alone). It even survived prohibition (we wrote "Ice Water" on it. But a tragedy just before a game was the death of it (a couple of UK players died in an alcohol related accident).
It was right to ban it after that but MORE than enough time has passed and both sides want it back (fans anyway).
