Vols won by a single point in OT the last time yall played that cupcake.

So...the first Tennessee team to lose 8 games in a single season in the entire history of the program still beat them...so, yes...that would be a cupcake.

Yes Georgia and Bama are tough, but the non-con schedule is really the only part you have 100% control over.
Yeah it’s pretty uninspiring. The trouble with NC State is that it’s a very little to gain matchup for us in terms of prestige but we’ve got a ton to lose. They look like they should be a pretty competent opponent. The committee has had the selection criteria all wrong IMO. It’s been more about not losing games than accumulating wins over quality teams. I still think that TCU getting included in 2022 was laughable with their lack of elite wins

The series is going back to it's roots.

From 1916 through 1991, Tennessee and Florida did not play earlier than mid-October. It was the Roy Kramer derived "rivalry" that moved the series to September (as part of conference expansion).

quote:

This series doesn't have any roots until the 90's. UF didn't play football in September until the later 40's and it was always the start of the fall around Sept 20th. It wasn't until the 70's that we started playing earlier than that, and UF vs UT was never a regular game until the 90's.

The UF vs UT rivalry was a great game to get the SEC season started imo, and it sucks that they moved it. But we probably won't be playing each other as much going forward anyway.

Playing in September sucked...we played Florida in their weather whether we were at home or away.

Finished last season 9-4 ranked #21. Early polls show them around #13 or so.

yes - at Arkansas

then to Georgia again in Atlanta for a 3rd loss -

Nobody's making the playoffs with 3 losses, unless they win in Atlanta.

I think it will be a battle just because it's our first big game of the year not at Neyland nerves ect but then we show out abd blow put Oklahoma and Florida. NC State might beva close game like the ones with Pitt were though.

That cupcake is 2-8 vs Georgia over the last 10 games.

Same record as UTK has vs Georgia over the last 10 games.

Congrats, cupcake.

It will be a battle just because they are just as good if not better. They’ll probably be the betting favorite. They will start the year ranked ahead of both Florida and OU

Yes, they were.

You don't know anything about UGA, much less UT.

Oklahoma was scheduled as a non-conference game. NC St. as non-conference 'special event' game at a neutral site.

Look, everyone here is convinced that you are stupid, you are uninformed, and you are a forum fan, not a real fan. We don't additional proof.

Shut your ignorant mouth about Tennessee, and go to the Dawg board with the rest of the sidewalk fan idiots.

No they weren’t. The OU game was canceled in September 2022 by the SEC. The NC state game wasn’t added to the schedule until March of 2023.
