Can't speak for him and I have been making a case for Alabama....but....they scheduled Florida and LSU (Who was expected to contend for the SEC) so they should at least get some credit for not running from competition. Both are members of the Big 6.

Wrong. LSU was 4th overall. Also, 2 of 3 losses came from top 5 teams.

That's it exactly... People want to give credit for beating bama, but then don't want to give bama credit for being great. The committee gave bama credit and people can't handle it.
But... Who else did Texas beat? Maybe that was the question nobody was asking.

And their schedule was STILL so trash they ended up with a SOS at 55 compared to Bama’s in the top 5. Let THAT sink in for a moment. FSU’s SOS was closer to G5 teams than it was to Bama’s (and Texas’ for that matter) and they got treated accordingly. “Muh Power 5” is a complete misnomer. One of them (Pac 12) is such shite it is literally folding and the ACC is barely above G5 level.
