The Shackleford quote is my favorite.
A tip of the cap to the late, great Yogi Berra for some of his gems...
It ain't over till it's over
When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
It's like déjà vu all over again.
You can observe a lot by just watching.
Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.
No one goes there nowadays, it’s too crowded.
The future ain't what it used to be.
If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up someplace else.
Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours.
A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

Good work, coach
A couple of my favorites from the world of MLB:
Jaquin Andujar, on the verisimilitude of the sport:
“I can sum it up in one word - yaneverknow.”
Luis Polonia, upon his release from the NY Yankees after the 1996 season:
“This organization is only interested in one thing - and I’ll be damned if I know what it is.”
