Disagree with 04 though. They started out at #2 and shut down Vince Young.

Its a total hindsight call really, but 2004 Auburn was damn good, and Oklahoma got worked so bad you have to question it.

02 Ohio State yes

What is the basis for the OSU hate

I mean if Miami had won in 2002, you would have that as a big NO for 2007 LSU beating them

In the final rankings OSU beat 2, 9, 10, 16.

3 top 10 teams!

Oklahoma had the better resume.

I'm talking about two different losses, and I'm using more than one game to argue my point, idiot.

And completely disregarding the fact that your best player was hurt and your second best defensive player was suspended.
And what about being undefeated in regulation?

Auburn beat 4 top 15 teams

Oklahoma beat 1 top 10 team, and 2 other top 25 teams.

Are you on drugs? There's no way that 2007 LSU beats '09 and '12 Bama. 2012 Bama was far more impressive beating a Notre Dame team that was better than the Ohio State team that LSU beat to win their national title. And Bama killed a 2009 Florida team that was better than any team LSU faced in 2007. '07 LSU would also lose handily to 2003 LSU and 2000 OU as well. The only BCS national champions I can see them beating are 2002 Ohio State, 2006 Florida and maybe 1998 Tennessee.

Glenn Dorsey was hurt for the better part of the last 8 games. That's not an excuse for losing to Arkansas.

I was also unaware that Ali Highsmith was suspended for the game.

OU's best win > their best win.
Playing a BCS ooc > playing a bad 1AA ooc.

Of course. Recognition must be given where it is due

It's not due much if you were the only one to notice it

And then only gave it a 1/10

Okie State's offensive scheme was to spread you out and "out-athlete" opponents in space. That would have earned them a beatdown by that LSU team.

Totally agree with this, which is the REAL reason so many LSU fans scream that Okie St. should have been in that game. Most know deep down that Bama and LSU were far and away the two best teams in the country in 2011, but they would be fine with Bama having been left out since it would have meant OSU was in and LSU would have beaten Okie St (as would have Bama).

Bama had to play a dominant game on 1/9 or risk a split with the BCS to Bama and the AP to LSU. Bama removed all doubt by holding LSU under 100 yards on O and only allowing across the 50 once all night (with under 9 minutes to go in the game and only for 3 plays).

LSU 2007 would beat both of those teams. The 2009 and 2012 versions of LSU almost beat those teams.

So 2007 UK and Arky could beat those Bama teams?

I said this the other day on here and a couple of LSU fans were actually honest and agreed with me.

A lot of people don't realize that the Cannon Halloween run wasn't during the championship year. #1 LSU beat #3 Ole Miss in a 7-3 squeaker in 1959.

LSU would have to face Ole Miss in a rematch in the Sugar Bowl.

...and lost, 0-21.

You gumps like to think y'all invented that shite.
