Fournette could have been a great back. He might be in the pros, but his stats just does not put him in the conversation for college.

No he didn’t!!

Two of the guys won Heismans. One of them only struck a pose against an FCS team and quit halfway through his Jr season.
Can you name them?

Here is a link to his highlights, and they seem to back me up. I thought I remembered him in the wishbone.
Bo in wishbone
ETA
I didn't watch all of his highlights, but only saw 1 or 2 plays in which he was not in the wishbone.

Bo was a 1-man show and elevated his otherwise largely mediocre AU teams.
That '83 team was far from mediocre...had a very strong argument for #1...they got jobbed by the polls in a similar way as the '77 Bama team...while Bo is an all-time great, that team would've still been pretty good without him...

This is a stupid topic..to be honest. Chubb is a great player for UGA. But lets wait until he finishes his career at UGA.

Chubb being compared to Bo is ridiculous. Bo was a multi sport once in a lifetime athlete. Chubb is a fantastic player, had a great career at UGA, but let’s not get carried away.

While I agree that Herschel and Bo belong in a class fo their own, nobody was saying Chubb was the athlete Bo was.....they were comparing them as running backs. I don't think anybody compares to Bo as an overall athlete.

You do realize that georgia has as many national Titles as Auburn, right?
UGA has a higher all time win %
UGA played in more bowl games
UGA has had more All Americans
UGA has had more 1st rnd draft picks
UGA has more wins all time
UGA has more conference championships
UGA has a better bowl record (higher win % in bowls)
UGA has more NFL Draft picks
UGA has spent more weeks in the #1 position of the AP Poll
What does this say about Auburn?

Bo is, based on the eye test, the second best back in SEC history.

Richt was at UGA for what, 14 years? Why was he fired? Oh yeah, couldn't get it done. UGA is synonymous with irrelevant.
Last natty: 37 years ago
Last SEC champ: 12 years ago. 10-3 with loses to their two biggest rivals.

In five years, the only people that will remember chubs name will be Georgia's fans.
Fact.
Fact.

Anybody that knows football, realizes Chubb ain’t even close to Bo Jackson
Posted on 11/11/17 at 9:04 am to Eli Goldfinger
people who think Chubb is at Bo's level either don't know football or never saw Bo Jackson. I can see a conversation between Bo and Herschel, but not Chubb. Bo was an all-pro running back, an all-star outfielder whose career was cut short by an injury, Chubb us not the best running back in the SEC this year.

I don't really remember Bo and Auburns offense back in the day but I suspect they were a lot like UGA and Walker....three yards and a cloud of dust. UGA had almost no passing and simply Ran Walker down people's throats.....I suspect Auburn and Bo were basically the same....everyone knew Bo was getting the ball...they just couldn't do anything about it.
Chubb has had other weapons around him for the most part. In Waklers case you could have stacked 14 at the line of scrimmage and he was still going to get 130 yards. I suspect Bo was that kind of back. Chubb is not. He may have been in an offense where he got 40 carries a game....because great tail backs wear defenses out. Chubb does that but he has a LOT of help. I don't think he's ever been a 40 carry a game back. He's great but better than Bo is a reach......

3 out of 4 years.
His senior year Auburn ran out of the I-formation.

Depends on whether your preference was to grind out the run over the full game (HW: more total yards, significantly lower yards per carry), or get easier 1st downs and score TDs more frequently (BJ: less total yards, higher yards per carry, scored more frequently per carry).
