Didn't Slive want Misery over OU because they have more eyeballs in their respective states?

Clearly you know nothing of the negotiations between the SEC and ESPN back in those days when cable was king nor do you understand how cable packages work.

In 2012 given the choice between OU and MU, Slive would have chosen MU over OU 10 times out of 10 times. To think otherwise only demonstrates you don’t understand what Slive was trying to accomplish at the time.

Honestly don’t want A&M or Missouri in here. Or these next two.

I am not sure if I really believe this is an Aggie. First, this is the FIRST time I have ever seen an Aggie post anything about us not belonging (and I have seen ALOT of these post).
Secondly, I had read somewhere that it was the A&M adminstrators that had a hand into pursuading the SEC to invite Missouri into the conference, and yes.
Odd, post, from a fanbase that we have more of a history with than any other school in the SEC.

UF's president at the time grew up in St Louis and was practically begging for Mizzou to be in the SEC.

You were in the same conference as us for over twice as long as you've been in the SEC. Your opinion doesn't mean jack shite.

Prolly why someone from Austin shouldn't be here either, you get it or don't...

You are going to get a front row seat to when Texas starts waxing everyone in recruiting because the inner city athletes would rather live and spend their NIL money in an actual city than a college backwater. At least y'all are 70ish miles from ATL so you are in better shape than most of your peers.

Missouri borders Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Oklahoma. I don’t get the geographic argument. 4 SEC schools are within driving distance. When Texas and OU join, their states expand further west than Mizzou.

Missouri and Texas A&M both do not belong. Adding them both were mistakes.

So were you. But sometimes, within some families, cousin love is more intimate than in others.

He definitely has a strange and scattered post history

He’s had a hard on for Mizzou since at le2015 so maybe he’s that one lone Aggie that hates Mizzou?

Arkansas has contributed more to the conference overall since the last last expansion than either of the expansion teams by a long shot. The new expansion teams have contributed nothing yet.

Only the football program has been down. None of the last expansion teams have contributed anything of note, well, except beating Arkansas in football which is a pathetic thing to boast about.

Frankly, the SEC couldn't care less about Mizzou and if the Tigers ever leave, no one would notice.

Testify.

SEC championship game appearances by expansion teams

Arkansas 3 in 31 seasons
Missouri 2 in 11 seasons
South Carolina 1 in 31 seasons
Texas A&M 0 in 11 seasons

Of all 4 of those Mizzou has the best track record

I’m human, I’m subject to get defensive, nothing personal.

Thanks.
