He's a fan fav because he was a 5* QB and supposdlly did really well for a time in spring practice last year.
And because the idea of starting a QB with future eligibility remaining is a beautiful dream for us these days.

You might have him mixed up with Chad Kelly

He looks like Johnny Manziel and Greg McElroy had a baby together.

He looks a lot like Risk Astley. I posted the link - it wasn't a "rickroll", it's a legit comparison. They look like brothers.

He gets from now until fall to be with LK.
I like his chances.

He had been going against the ones. That's what a scout team QB does...

"duel threat" huh? bet he can't hit the broad side of barn when he gets in a game. Why don't you and LSU look for guys that can pass? Its not like the qb run game is part of your offense. You need to do better at the qb position if you want to beat OM. The streak continues.

Meh
If we turn out to be wrong so what? I have no problem admitting I was wrong and laughing at myself in any case.

Word back during the spring(?) was that he often looked like the best QB in practice. Didn't really translate to the scrimmages though.
There's still the overall feeling that he's Kiffin's favorite though that could just be the work of "insiders."
It's hard to say whether or not Bateman's playing time in '15 will mean anything going forward. Wouldn't have made much sense to burn Barnett's redshirt and Bateman wasn't overly impressive anyway.

He will have had 2 spring practices. That's what AJ had before he started

I had that same hair style when I was a freshman in college. He will be bald by age 25.

At least he isn't bald at 19 like Fournette.

Possible, but his hairline doesn't have some of the tell-tale signs of possible recession.
