Let’s be honest. We love a good football brawl.

All these talking heads calling it despicable, barbaric, etc, shut up. I love watching dudes in helmets throw haymakers at other dudes in helmets. It’s hilarious and you know it.

Why does hockey get away with fighting?

Also let’s take the honesty further.

14 out of 14 sec teams would fight on the field even if only 4 players on each team had an isolated fight.

It’s the culcha, not MSU.

The talking heads love this shite too. They have to feign outrage though.

On air: "This is an absolute outrage. Criminal charges should be brought, etc."

Commercial break: "Ohhh shite! Did you see #7? That was awesome."

Georgia has a lot of experience in that matter. I trust your judgment.

Exactly my point. We honestly expect 20 year olds who enjoy full force collisions to not want to punch each other? I get it, not a good look, but get real. It’s been in hockey for years.

Most definitely. It made watching a whole Mississippi state game worth it.

The fight was more entertaining than the game.

Coaches acting like lunatics is the only thing that can embarrass an entire conference?

bspn promoting this behavior by broadcasting the fight. Game was over and tv had gone to studio show but went back to game to air the fight. Completely unnecessary by by these arse clowns.

Social contract. Some parts of the extra curricular entertainment we were lucky enough to enjoy were not exactly covered by the legal mandates that allow football to occur.

You need the hockey or MMA context to get away with punching somebody without some explaining. Therefore, it would reflect badly on the institution of football for an announcer to be honest with us and share how much of a kick they were getting out of this.

It's like, you ever piss off your mom in a way that dad thinks is hilarious? But dad knows has to demonstrate he doesn't approve or else he's not getting adult-fun time that evening from mom? Analogous situation here.

They do the same shite with gruesome injuries. "Oh my God that was awful. We don't need to see this. But here's the replay in slow motion from 7 different angles."

I protest in the strongest possible terms. Violence has no place in football.

I weep with thoughts of how many hands were injured by striking helmets. Oh, the humanity.

That's kind of like saying "why do boxers get away with punching". Fighting is a part of hockey. It is stopped immediately when somebody hits the ice. Fighting is not a part of football...........nor should it be.
