Saban was here for 5 years and won 1 title. He has been at Alabama for 16 years with 5.

That would be a colossal mistake. He is too young

The transfer portal will never close. Every time the Head Coach leaves. The transfer portal is open for 30 days for the players on that team.

Either there is something to it or his agent got it out really early so he can get more of Phil Knight’s money

I'd rather have DeBoar tbh. Giy is a proven winner.

Well, if twitter user The Next Round says so

That’s the name of the show that well-known and longtime Birmingham sportscaster Jim Dunaway hosts.

Because I understand the mindset of both winners and losers. Someone with a winners mentality doesn't recoil from following someone like Nick Saban and only losers believe winners think like that.

Nick Saban once said this.."Mediocre people don't like high achievers and high achievers don't like mediocre people".

Which one are you?

Lanning will owe $20M if he takes another job. Will bama boosters pay that?

What has that done for Notre Dame or Army lately? And what advantage does Bama have over Oregon going forward?

Yeah just the SEC angle and also the entire history of the two programs

Haha you guys are clueless. Coaches don't care about past titles. They care if they can win titles now.

Alabama would still be hiring and firing coaches if Saban had not fallen into their lap in 2007.

Saban didn’t “fall into” Bama’s lap. Mal Moore flew to Miami with a $4 million a year contract and made Saban say yes or no.

Haha like that matters. Bama has had the highest paid coach in football for 16 years now. They can pay for anyone.

I'm hearing Saban gave a ringing endorsement to Houston Nutt.

Saban being available fell into their laps. Rich Rid reneging on the job making it possible was quite possibly the most fortunate thing to happen to any program this century

Also Miles doing as well as he did in his first two years meant he couldn’t go back to LSU, which he would have done if available.
