Also, why do you keep stalking me?
and why are you on a LSU messageboard?
I noticed you skipped right over where I complimented the state of Louisiana. You cant say that all I do is dig up the ugly truth anymore, its now here in black and white, I paid this state a huge compliment.

Google "Les Miles Larry Coker", and you'll see that it's not just Alabama fans making that comparison.
Google "Alabama Redneck" and I'm sure you'll get the same idiots

go back to a bama message board. anyone who goes to an opponent's message board with the sole purpose to insult/mock/hate/troll is simply pathetic and obsessed

Like I said Superman, great food but, a tad slow getting up to speed with the rest of us.
They actually coached against each other. Miles 40, Coker 3. Sounds like you need to catch up. Miles >>>>>> Coker.
Let me guess, that game doesn't count though, right?

JR said Les was better at getting a team pumped up. Alot more of a players coach.
And Nick was better at X's and O's.

We embarrassed Coker. That's why he was run off

I merely stated that I agreed that the national perception was Miles=Coker, and perception is reality.

quote:WTF are you talking about. Another gump talking out of their arse. Prove your point or STFU. Gundy has never eclipsed Miles's 9 win season at OSU and Miles did it in a 11 game season. Not to mention, Miles beat OU and Gundy has not.
Also, his replacement at Okie State has done a lot more than he ever did.
Actually, it's Miles that has done more than Saban ever did at LSU. 3 consecutive 11 or better win seasons finishing in the Top 5 and 4-0 in Bowl games. Saban didn't come close to that.

See, even LSU fans are comparing Miles to Coker. A bunch of manhood measuring going on today.

Who else besides Bama fans make this comparison? Miles is a much better coach, Coker had a problem with disciplne, last year Miles kicked off the starting QB from the team. Miles totally outcoached him when they faced, the only thing they have in common is they took over talented programs

quote:Miles had brought in about 65 players on the team that won the National Championship. You do realize you play more than 20 players during a championship season. Over half of the players that contributed to that championship had NEVER been coached by Saban. The 20 players that had been brought in by Saban had been in Miles's system for over 2.5 years when they won the championship. It had nothing to do with Saban. Just because the media says some stupid shite don't make it true.
Do you not believe that people outside of Louisiana view Les Miles as a coach who took over a program already at powerhouse stature and won a National Championship with someone else's players?

I like how the only time "co-national champions" can be uttered around LSU fans is when there is Saban bashing going on. Other wise it never happened and is a dirty term, but it's completely acceptable in ONLY one instance.
"First two loss natinal champion," is also a touchy one. This one will probably never be acceptable, sad as it is.

Let me ask everyone this question, what has Nick Saban done that Les hasnt done to be considered a better coach?

There are more ways than one to be successful in any field.
Miles is successful by being himself, connecting on a more personal level with his players and families. At the current time, he fits LSU perfectly, much like Cholly Mac did after Paul Dietzel. He seems to be recruiting well and the key for him will being able to keep solid x & o assistant coaches in the future. He is much more of a players coach it seems and without keeping that somewhat in check it can lead to problems, on and off the field.
Saban is a dictator type coach. Very successful at turning floundering college programs around. At the current time, he is exactly what Alabama needs. Strict and disciplined with the process type atmosphere, not just in the locker room but keeping the loony gump fans at bay. It is really yet unknown, like it or not, if his style can sustain a program for a long haul. He has never stayed somewhere for a say 10 year period and sometimes that kind of coaching style can burn a program out.
What's so hard to understand about both coaches and situations? Be happy with what you have and enjoy success if it comes and be concerned if it doesn't. Both are excellent coaches in their own way and again when it comes winning football games and building programs, there is more than one way to skin a cat
