one more and i'll get off my soapbox.

Miles gets ripped by the media for the Auburn last second TD in 07 (in which he STILL had time for a TO/FG) yet Leach is lauded for the EXACT same play vs Tex last year.

the winning with someone else's players arguement makes me sick. Saban won with DiNardo's players in 2001, Saban won with Shula's players in 2008, Tressell won with Cooper's players in 2002, Meyer won with Zook's players in 2006, Stoop's won with Blake's players in 2000, and Carrol won with Hacket's players in 2002. come on...this agruement is stale.

good post. i agree with you, its a lame argument. yes someone else may have recruited them but they still have to be properly coached. theres more to football than just a guy that can run fast.

Point is... Les > Saban (Both won a NC at LSU but Les has the better winning percentage)

Point is... LSU fans are the only people in the entire world that think this way.

I don't know which one is better. But I know which one I would want if I had a choice.

Saban

I don't think there is any out there that wouldn't. They may not say that but I think it is pretty clear who the better coach is. Below is a quote from Saban. I think it describes him as a coach.

"When I worked with Bill Belichick, we only had one sign in the whole building," Saban said. "That was: 'Do your job.' And it was defined for everybody, from the janitor, to the secretary, to the strength coach, to the equipment man to the coaches, to the players- everybody had an expectation of what their responsibility was to execute their job."

Its common knowledge everywhere but in Louisiana superman. They are a tad slow when it comes to catching up with the rest of the modern world,,, but the food is great.

This is a prime example of the "perception" the media has for Miles.

99% of the time the media stirs this shite up anyway. They'll praise Leach and question Miles for the exact same thing.

perceptions are changeable, if we bounce back this year all the sudden the media will say Miles is a great coach and they always told us so.

Google "Les Miles Larry Coker", and you'll see that it's not just Alabama fans making that comparison.
