Do you not believe that people outside of Louisiana view Les Miles as a coach who took over a program already at powerhouse stature and won a National Championship with someone else's players?

if so, then they are ignorant. Saban came in with talented teams at Bama and LSU. Saban gets a media pass and the ignorant masses simply ignore this fact. Saban won with DiNardo's and Shula's All-SEC players but you guys simply ignore this. It's all selective memory with you guys.

His term at MSU was successful - given the circumstances - even though he didn't win any championships.

LSU kicked Saban's arse when he coached MSU.
Lsu was good for Saban.
Saban was good for LSU.
He will be an "avaerage" coach at Bama because Bama sucks anyway.
He is winning with Shula's recruits.

Plain and simple...they got our sloppy seconds and are a little bitter about it.

We love your sloppy seconds and are thankful for the opportunity to have them You guys started hating all things Bama, made "Saban is a Douche" and "Suck Faban" shirts, along with "$ellout $aban" signs, etc... That's what I'd call bitterness.

I don't have a problem admitting that Stallings was put in a position to succeed largely due to Curry's recruiting efforts

So Bama won that NC only because of Curry?

dude, take off the blinders. what your friends say and what Finebaum says does not make it "national" perception.

How is that a childish statement? Take it as an insult if you like, but that is the national perception, at least for now, of Les Miles. You don't have to like it.

The biggest difference is Bama needs this LSU does not. Our boosters very nearly ruined a proud program for all of the Bama fans. That is what sucks the fans are the ones who suffer when these pricks decide to cheat.

Fixed. The only morons who make that comparison are Bama fans

Which is something Shula himself was not able to do - which is why he was fired, and which is why Saban is perceived to be a great coach.

Also, nearly every single one of our impact players on both side of the ball this year were signed by Nick Saban.

the winning with someone else's players arguement makes me sick. Saban won with DiNardo's players in 2001, Saban won with Shula's players in 2008, Tressell won with Cooper's players in 2002, Meyer won with Zook's players in 2006, Stoop's won with Blake's players in 2000, and Carrol won with Hacket's players in 2002. come on...this agruement is stale.

The season isn't one game old, how do you even know who the "impact" players are?

prob because he kicked off all of shula's remaining players for "violation of team rules."

kinda like the national perception that alabama is a redneck sister-loving, trailer-living, spitting-tobacco state? I know everyone in the entire US and they think this way. You don't have to like it.

Now you know how it feels to hear the damn arguement that Miles won with Saban's players. Point is... Les > Saban (Both won a NC at LSU but Les has the better winning percentage)

No. Equal, maybe. But Les isn't better.
