You give Petrino one of those backs this season and we are undefeated.

How about you find an extra defender?

So will the tears after this weekend...

Nah, they will be thrilled to death with anything over .500. That's the state of Arkansas football.

Kind of like saying Petrino wouldn't do as good as Miles if he were the coach of LSU.

One thing about it if we do some how manage to win this game with what we have left then we without a doubt have the better program, the better team and the better coach.

But you have all those 5 star athletes to hang your hat on though.

Peyton Hillis is a monster in the NFL and hootie used him as some sort of Full back Tight end hybrid.

Darren Mcfadden is a beast as well and we used him in the wildcat formation 1-4 downs most of the time and tried to have him pass a few times.

Felix Jones, well he is my favorite out of them all and is in Dallas. Had a awesome rookie season.

Add any one of them to the Bobby Petrino offense and we are set.

Difference between LSU and Arkansas will always be this.

LSU is a respected football program, Arkansas is trying to rebuild one.

Yeah, Skip had to make up for Smoke because LSU was such a baseball powerhouse before Skip arrived. Oh, and Skip hired Smoke's replacement who added another championship to the trophy case.

God I hate Skip. Worst fricking AD ever. Hired 2 coaches who each won a national title but since he hired Smoke he's the worst AD ever.

Bobby didn't ask for any more money. It was a straight up "who is better" call. Skip was right.

Bobby didn't even interview i remember.

the only thing i would disagree with is the use of the word "always". i think petrino is doing a great job of rebuilding the program.

otherwise, this is true.

miles is a good coach who stepped into a great situation. petrino is a good coach who stepped into a messy situation. i (and most hog fans) am very happy with petrino as our HC.

Ark is a solid program. Petrino needs to recruit better defensive players. Facilities are good and they travel well. they're close to getting there.

agreed. i feel happy with my team and its direction.

obviously LSU fans are happy with their team and direction, as they should be. no need to denigrate the opposition to make me feel better about my coach; i think we have a good one.

I think Petrino is a very good coach. But he hasn't accomplished as much as Miles - this is pretty much inarguable. If Petrino takes Arkansas to an NCAA championship - or even an SEC championship and Sugar Bowl win - come back and we'll talk.

Les has two crystal footballs. very few active coaches can match that.

Petrino's gone to and won a BCS bowl game, so it's not like he's done nothing. no real big accomplishment yet while at Arkansas, but it's still really early in his tenure.

I'll admit, I haven't read beyond this.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, three years in and there's 'talk' of a BCS bowl.

I like Les, he seems like a good person, but he will never take your team to the NCG with his recruits.

You *might* be right, but those "CLM recruits who will 'never make it' to the BCSNCG" are still head and shoulders above YOUR team.

LSU, with CLM's recruits (which includes, I will admit, less than stellar QBs), is ranked HIGHER than Arkie, and being in the top five (as compared to the top twelve) is a damn sight closer to the BCSNCG game this year than the Hawgs are...and let me mention once again that we have a depleted situation at QB...

I mean, it's great for your program, but dude, is htat what you want to bring to the table when smack talking?

I like the way they are already blaming the loss on all the players that are out. We've been a freaking MASH unit all year long, and we aren't complaining. Why? Because we've got depth from those recruiting classes. Les wins.

Petrino is a great coach, but atm he's still got a lot to prove. I'd be happy with him too if I weren't sure he's be gone the minute something better popped up. Les is already proven. He may make some bone-headed clock management decisions, but I wouldn't trade him for anyone. He just keeps winning. Les Miles belongs at LSU.

...Now don't get all butt hurt when we score the winning points on some bizarre play with 30 seconds on the clock.
