That was amazing, I can’t stop laughing. Great effort. Love beating Kentucky!

Earthquake TD in ‘88 is a personal favorite of mine.

Kind of a classy melt
It did strike me coming from a fanbase who hasn't experienced enough success to melt really really hard.
This one's better, though:
"Karma go bite them on their a$$
I really do think it is time if we have a new DC to bring the message to the team. Before LSU tries to take our players, what is the deal with Kelly and MIZZOU it is getting old how he thinks he can just poach what he wants. I take it personally as a fan that a team can do that.
I really think it is time we put our foot down on this BS strike back. Kelly will keep doing this if MIZZOU just lets him do this over and over, are we ALPHAS or Betas as a program."
Oooooh, I'm sure CBK is skert now! :rotflmao:
Edited to add: the responses to the post are much more sane fwiw.
re: Saban leaving makes losing the annual Bama game less painful

Less painful?
There’s a reason the numbers 20-10 are etched in my brain and it’s not because of Saban. I hated Bama decades before the midget went there, frick them.
That’s why people were pissed at him, not because he left for the nfl but because when he couldn’t hack it, he went to the Gumps. The Saban hate would not be quite as thick if he’d gone somewhere else, but the Bama hate would be just as strong.

How pissed do you think Mizzou fans are?
They lost it when Baker left.
They're taking it like you'd think:
"I'm rooting for anyone playing LSU going forward.
That does stink - sign an extension - send out a tweet video saying "I'm not going anywhere" - and then taking a lateral job - and poaching other coaches as you go.
Blake Baker - I wish you nothing but problems with your LSU caper going forward."
"I hope Blake baker has a successful family life makes enough money to support them long term but is a miserable failure going toward and winds up coaching at an naia school"

One of saban’s greatest accomplishments at Bama was being able keep all of the cooks out of his kitchen. Is DeBoer going to be able have that same amount of credibility? Gonna be interesting.
He seems like a good coach but there’s a lot more to it than just that.
This is what strikes me the most. DeBoer's a damn good coach, and the whole 'he can't recruit in the south' thing some are tossing around isn't necessarily a given (see BK for an example of that). But does DeBoer have what it takes to control booster interference and deal with the politics that goes with certain tiers of schools in the SEC? That's one of the biggest questions, IMO. The next few years will be interesting for sure.

I'm not sure why Greg gets so much hate from Bama fans. He is a professional and doesn't do his job with his crimson colored glasses on all the time.
You answered your own question.

There was a shite ton of tigers at Universal today.
There have been a ton at WDW since Friday and probably a bit before. On Friday night in the parks, a tourist from overseas stopped a member of our party (who had on a lsu shirt of course) and asked what LSU was and why so many people at Disney were dressed in LSU gear.
re: What was the most near perfect game you can remember?
Posted by rosiebean on 8/21/23 at 6:51 pm
LSU over Bama at Legion Field, 1982. LSU was 7-0-1, Gumps 7-1 with an 11 year win streak over us. We won 20-10 but the score was deceptive. The Tigers held the Gumps to zero first downs in the first half, 119 yards total, and forced 7 fumbles (recovering 4). It was total domination after years of heartbreak.
It was the worst beating Bama had taken since the 60s, and after the game, Bear Bryant said maybe it was time to retire. Welp, he did after that year and it was glorious as when Steve Spurrier’s career as a college HC ended with a Les Miles mercy knee.
I was young AF then, but I will always remember that game. My hatred of Bama goes wasaay back, and 20-10 will be on my gravestone.

Tyrann is my favorite by a hair over Burrow. Got to admit, one reason is the part tRant played in the Honey Badger nickname.

People are going to look back on 2019 LSU as if Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Jerry Rice played together in college.
This reminds me of the 1979 USC team. As much as I fricking hate USC, their 1979 roster had a crazy number of players drafted and four ended up in the HoF (including Ronnie Lott and Marcus Allen). They were supposed to be an all-time great roster, and I thought that kind of talent would never be replicated on a college team again given various changes in the game, recruiting regs etc...until the 2019 Tigers. The talent we had on that team is incredible.

I’m thankful for Jayden Daniels, the smoothest mfing running quarterback I’ve seen in a long, long time.

This was not a decision by the players. The award of the 18 jersey is from the players.
Actually, the decision to keep the tradition for both numbers apparently was made by the team. Not long after BK was hired, he was asked about the #7 and #18 thing, and said he'd let the players decide on whether they should keep it or not. Guess they said yes.

I never thought I'd see a worse AD than Joe Dean, but boy Alleva sure gave him a run for his money. Note to the LSU brass: steer clear of athletic directors named Joe ffs. Just bad juju there.
