Petrino would be a lock to win an NC at a school with a good recruiting base.

So you're basically saying that LSU is a better overall place?

We make a BCS bowl this year and win it or even the Cap 1 bowl and win it. Our recruiting will increase. Frank Broyles said it would increase by 20 percent with a good bowl victory and he should know.

LSU has been to how many SECCGs and NCGs? You can rest assure that your winning on the field has increased your recruiting. Talent can only go so far though and while you have a lot of talented fast players their skill ratings are not that great. Petrino ranks his players based on skills and talent not just talent alone.

I trust him.

Awesome, so Bobby Petrino has impressive recruiting stats when judged using the Bobby Petrino scale. Good to know.

Also, I've been reading the tiger rant long enough to be downright charmed to find that lsu fans are finally taking up for him after a couple of years of declining to.

Petrino will eventually leave Arkansas for a bigger job anyway, so yall really need to love him a little less

Maybe, Holtz did the same thing but he and Petrino are 2 quality coaches who we love to have while we had/ have them.

Truth is, their both good coaches.

Thing is, both could be leaving soon. Miles may wind up at Michigan one day, maybe after next season.

Petrino would go somewhere UCLA or Texas if offered.

IMO:

1. Before Saban, LSU was not a great place to go so recruits often left the state.

2. Since Saban (+ the AD or whoever) built up the facilities and started winning, it has been a very easy place to recruit to.

3. So yes, right now with the recent success, top facilities, and talent rich state, LSU is a much much easier place to win at than Arky.

4. If I had to choose a coach for my team, I would take Petrino over Miles.

Like I said though, I still think Miles is a good to very good coach. I just think Petrino is one of the best in the business in college.

you have resorted to making fun of LSU's 07 NC. now we ALL know you are simply a tool.

you would give your right nut for that crystal ball and you know it.

Nutt went 75-48 at Arkansas, for a 61% winning percentage.

Petrino is currently 22-14 at Arkansas (22-15, pending), for a 61% winning percentage.

Looks like y'all really traded up there.

Les's game management at the end of the Ole Miss game last year and the Tennessee game this year is why Petrino is a better coach

One game? really? That's all you have?

Saban lost to ULM, I guess that means Ogeron is a better coach?
