2011 for sure
2012 is pretty likely
2015 is the only other one I can think of, I guess assuming they don't collapse if they beat Bama?

That looks about right to me. It's insane to think that Les Miles, as goofy as he was, would be known as the greatest college football coach of our generation had it not been for Saban.

Outside of 2011

Which Les teams were good enough?

The Mettenberger teams were solid but the D wasn't

In 2006 Les cost Les a national championship

Hell he still almost threw away 2007

If anything maybe Urban never leaves Florida and they would have reaped most of that success

In 2012 if the Yeldon pass doesn't happen LSU is 11-1 and playing UGA in the SEC CG for the right to smash ND

Saban wasn't even at Alabama yet

Urban was on the decline after Tebow and all those guys left in 2009 and left after a mediocre 2010 season to save his reputation because the hyped John Brantley was actually trash

Saban has unlimited Natties if he never left LSU

That's why I didn't say 2012 was a for sure thing like 2011, probably 50/50 whether we beat UGA or not. Still the best chance outside of 2011 we had.

Maybe if Honey Badger didn't get kicked off the team we win even if Saban is there. But thems the breaks.

that was my point

He has the 1 given in 2011

2006 should have been one, 2007 he almost gave away

2012...I didn't remember us being that close to the top but UGA is never a gimme especially with Les

I'll chalk that up as a maybe

My point was you have the one lock NC, a maybe in 2012

The entire premise I guess would be the unknown

LSU winning in 2011 would have been a boost and winning in 2012 could have had an astronomical impact on Les and LSU...I'm notnsure I agree with 4...but it makes a little more sense If LSU could have pulled off the back to back in 11 and 12

Nah he didn't, Les would have found away to screw it up. Hell, he needed help to win it in 07 with a really great team.

For real

Still wild LSU is the only 2 loss champ even with a 4 team playoff the last 10 years

Gotcha. I don't remember LSU that season other than Bama barely slipping by them. I do remember the SECCG being the play-in to the BCS and it played out like a championship game should.
