If Alabama only wins the SEC because of schedule, and LSU only fails to win because of schedule, then explain how auburn won the SEC in 2010 rather than LSU, especially considering they played both Alabama and LSU and UGA (making their run in 2010, according to the argument laid out by LSU fans, even tougher than any of the Bama or LSU title runs).

well its a year you didn't win it all and had a very easy sec east schedule, yet you can bash a bama fan for using that year and say it proves your point? yall are very narrow minded

Anytime there is any mention of a schedule thread, you might as well cue up that particular Auburn fan. He is in essentially all of those threads.

Don't forget A&M has a terribly easy East schedule this year too. SEC office looking out for the historic SEC powers.

So why bash the bama fan for using their harder 10' schedule and saying they didn't win it all as proving yall's point?

In some years, even the team with the harder schedule can win the SEC(Auburn 2010, LSU 2011). However, there are years win the schedule directly effect it(last year Bama over A&M). I realize there are years LSU will get the schedule advantage. However, i think it makes someone clearly dumb or biased when they knock me or anyone else when i say we should strive for a system that minimizes the schedule parity from year to year.

You guys seem to be missing the point. In 2010, auburn won the division despite playing Alabama AND LSU AND UGA and South Carolina.

This is a strong counterexample to both LSU contentions:
1. That only a weak schedule is what wins the West
2. Whenever LSU's schedule is equal or easier than other SEC teams, LSU wins the West.

Fair statement. I agree. We should do everything within reason to make the schedules as balanced as possible.

Get back to me when LSU has 2 straight seasons of opponents from the East Division who aren't bowl eligible.

Don't forget we had Oregon and WVU, both on the road. That MORE than made up for those 3 games.

Oregon wasn't on the road, it was a neutral site. Regardless, neither of those games have any impact on the SEC West title.

I think there is more than one topic going on here, unless it is your contention that Oregon and WVU had an impact on your path to the SECC.
