I get what you're saying man but Saban has built and Les has placed LSU in a place where it shouldn't matter who is on the other sideline...on any Saturday. The club should conduct themselves as such, imo.

This, the only team Les should have to worry about having a chance to beat him for the next few years is Bama. Vice versa.

I think a good thread would be what year would you want the history of football to begin that would maximize your team's resume while gouging the eye out of the teams you hate.

Best part...new century/millennium makes it seem non-arbitrary.

I get the feeling that if this was put to a vote, Alabama would get royally fricked here. Hell, there are teams in this conference that would give up an old championship just to keep us from claiming all of our old ones.

Though I don't 'hate' Bama...but there is a certain segment than simply fall off a cliff for the betterment of the Universe.

we are one of the few teams that really doesn't have a great hay day but more so we have just always been around. we're consistently good but also consistently the brides maid and never the bride

so i choose 1892

i think you're right. all the young LSU fans i have encountered are vastly different than their older counter parts. i sat to a really cool older LSU fan in the SECCG this year. he kept telling me that it wasn't always like that for LSU and that he had gotten tired of the younger generations giving LSU a bad name. was a real genuine guy who just loved LSU and knew everything about it. he was also one of the few who actually respected our school and program.

really cool dude

"Suck that Tiger ****" makes absolutely no sense to me, worse than childish it is classless...as an example. There was actually a time when bringing a kid to a game you didn't have to be on alert. I don't know if it is simply cultural, across the board, or peculiar to this institution. Either way, it lessens the University.

I would rather play a UGA every year for tradition and they usually are ranked, and gives our team a better strength of schedule.

success brings out the worse in everyone, georgia would do the same given the chance i figure. we have our own updykes that just haven't been given the chance to fly yet.

it was a relief, though, to meet that old man. i have been to several UGA/LSU games and i generally haven't had many good experiences but talking to the older fans really helped me understand it more and really like LSU more. same with older Florida fans actually.

You misunderstood, but I wasn't specific. Columbia, SC is 1000+ miles from College Station, TX
