Leach does this everywhere he coaches. He’s a fun and intelligent guy, but has some crybaby tendencies that don’t get discussed much because people are so enamored with “HES SO QUIRKY!!!!”

There was about 2 or 3 days there where I thought we may be hiring him so I talked myself into saying I would be okay with it. But I wasn't under any false illusions. Leach is gonna be a guy that wins 6 or 7 per year in the SEC imo. Hes never won a conference title. Despite having good to great teams.
He's good, but he isn't championship caliber and he has a reckless mouth. At the end of the day I figured he was too much risk. And apparently every school that has ever interviewed him other than Miss State thought the same.

If you watch the press conference he really wasn’t throwing the players under the proverbial bus. He placed blame every where. Gave credit to the D and said the Offense is just not playing in games like they practice. I will say it was obvious when you read between the lines that he has 1 player that he is not fond of as the “malcontent”.

Because football has evolved away from pro-syle to somebtype of spread and defenses have evolved with it.
Defenses have fully evolved to combat the spread and have the personnel to matchup with the air raid with simple zone coverages.
In the SEC, all the defenses have the speed to react and tackle those short passes immediately....which then makes it into a waiting game for the offense to make a mistake.
Add in a couple great reads and plays by the defense and the wheels fall off.
It is exactly what Washington did every year.
