First, if you follow Leach, you know he has rules and those rules don't bend. One of those happens to be Drug use.

Here is the story LINK

quote:

Eventually, Moos brought up WSU’s new drug policy, particularly as it involved marijuana.

“We have a strict drug-testing plan: Three strikes and you’re out.”

Leach thought for a moment.

“What do you think about one strike and you’re out?”

Moos was all ears.

“I find that stuff divides the locker room,” Leach explained. “I’ll probably have to cut a couple starters, but the message will get across.”

He has always had that policy. And several of the MSU players cut, processed, or plank walking are due to that.

Here is what 247 reports from Leach today:

- “What I heard is he is opting out and preparing for the NFL,” Leach said of Hill. “I haven’t talked to him. We wish him the best. We’re going to focus on the guys that are on the team.”

- “They are not with the program,” confirmed Leach. “And we wish them the best.” “You just deal with it as it comes. Like I say, those guys are into another chapter in their life and so are we. So we wish them the best. But we’re only concerned with the guys in the program that we’re coaching.”

And the one that gives it away:

- “Coming in you have certain rules and expectations you expect to be followed. Either they abide by them or don’t, they generally adjust. And some guys just want an opportunity to play, and so it goes. I’d be surprised if we don’t lose more.”

He's cleaning house. You are there to play football and get an education. Not half arse do things and create issues.

He says that - along with hitting women and stealing I believe - but it's kind of hit and miss. WSU led the nation in arrests for several years under Leach. I promise you not all of those guys that violated his rules were dismissed. Same goes for his time at Tech.

That's not exactly truth. Webb and a teammate were kicked off the team in October of 2017 after they were arrested for reportedly stealing from Walmart. They sued Leach... and Leach won.

In fact, he even defends his players in cases.

It's not done without thought. For example a house party broke out and Leach questioned why only a couple of players were arrested when it was a complete brawl.

Here is his press conference response to those incidents.

quote:

"First incident. A brawl at a party, the whole room is involved. The room erupts in a brawl. Everybody's hitting everybody. The only guys accused of doing anything are football players. The only guys accused of anything are football players. Where's everybody else? What about the other 100 people in the room? What was their role?

"Second incident [involving Luani]. A football player is jumped and his shirt is ripped off. Jumped by five to six people and his shirt is ripped off, as he's leaving a place. As he's leaving a place. The only guy arrested is the football player. Only guy arrested. Unless he somehow single-handedly started a fight with six people.

"Third incident [involving Tago]. I don't know what happened. I don't know any of the details. It happened four months ago. Why didn't this surface four months ago?

So it's not just arrests. It's certain policies and rules.

You get jumped, defend yourself. BUT IT'S YOUR OWN CHOICE TO PUT DRUGS IN YOUR SYSTEM OR STEAL. Nobody forced you to do that.

LOL! They had won only 4 conference game out of 32 prior to Leach.

He cleaned the program up and started winning.

BTW... What the poster above was quoting was the arrestnation info.

WSU lead the nation for the previous 5 years in arrest combined numbers (not every year)... so 2010 to 2015. Leach coached his first game there in 2012.

The arrests totals for that 5 year span was 31. BTW, 11 out of the 14 SEC schools made the top 25.

Yeah, that’s one example but again... they led the nation in arrests.

There's plenty of examples out there of WSU players initiating crimes. Again, some did get dismissed some did not.

Yes. Which means it doesn’t include post 2015 arrests.

There were also issues at TTU.

Look, I'm not even mad at Leach about it. You've got dozens of young men in college. Some of them are going to get in trouble. Some do stuff that deserves more punishment than others. But Leach is different because he is so adamant about these 3 rules that he just doesn't always adhere to.

In a five year total that 11 of the 14 SEC teams fought hard to win. 11 out of the 14 were in the top 25.

But included 2 years prior to him being there. Prior to him rooting out Kids.

There are issues everywhere.

No evidence of that what so ever.

What Leach is doing is something the old time coaches did during Spring Practice. Since there wasn't a Spring, it is happening now. Have to get the deadwood out of a program before you can move ahead.

Who gives a flying frick if a teenager smokes a leaf that’s decriminalized in the state of Mississippi.

That’s the worst excuse I’ve heard.
