Leach beat 7 ranked teams in 36 games. It took Mullen 106 games to do the same at MSU

Just saying that maybe Leach is the better coach and some MSU fans wanting him gone are a bit... ignorant.

If Kiffin and Leach coached both teams in 2014 then the Egg Bowl decides the west. And Oxford burns regardless of the winner

Funny thing is he did it with defense and all around gritty, inspired hustle. There wasn’t nothing fancy pants air raid about it. Leach might be the coach, but this is still State.

There is a group of backwoods low lives posting on State forums that do want Mike Leach gone. The wife beating types that like to live vicariously through better people.

Typical Leach, he gonna lay an egg (pardon the pun) and then pull off some upsets.

It's hard on the fans, we need drugs to cope

Yes. Not even kidding! I mean livid. Some started rumors. One being he had cancer and would step down. One was he was already fired and will be announced after the egg bowl.

Honestly the only “egg” we laid realistically was LSU and Kentucky. LSU just won the west.

I used to think what Mullen did at State was impressive. It wasn’t that impressive. Benefited from charmin soft schedules and one elite QB.

I mean I have seen some really stupid shite from MSU fans. My booster friend is always sending me stuff.

Here's a laughable one. "Leach is too arrogant and stubborn and refuses to change!"

Ok. Maybe. But he beat 7 ranked teams in 36 games in the friggin SEC with less talent than those teams. Mullen.. took 106.

"Leach refuses to run the ball." Well, 150 yards last night. and several games close to that. He ran it more this year.

Some of the Arkansas faithful were screaming to the heavens that Pittman should be fired and we should spend every dime we had to hire Lane Kiffin just a couple of weeks ago. Every fan base has their... special... group of fans.

Leach has done about what I thought he'd do at State. You are getting a known commodity with him.

Leach inherited a much more stable program than Mullen. State was a complete disaster when Mullen arrived.

And here is the truth. You competed well in those games.

So he's gone from competing against team he should beat... to beating them soundly. From not competing against tougher teams to wining those. And from not competing against the elites to scoring more on UGA than most (including UT) and almost beating LSU on the road at night.

And let's face it, Will Rogers is the ground level for a Mike Leach team.

To be honest I completely disagree here. The culture that Croom set up is the reason State is where we are today. People forget Dan’s first eggbowl with croom’s recruits he absolutely destroyed ole miss (who won the cotton bowl and was good)

That's about as ignorant as can be.

Croom took over and cleared the rats out and instilled discipline. Mullen walked into a decent talented team.

Leach took over a team in shambles. The friggin QB could not even play in the bowl game because their own LB broke the guys eye socket in a fist fight. Players were not going to practice. Players were leaving practice when they wanted to... etc.

Leach had to kick the top returning SEC RB off the team! BTW.. Green Bay kicked him off the team too.. for the same reasons.

C'mon man, you're better than that. Soft schedules? Also , Florida was a total dumpster fire before he got there and you went to Sec Champ game over night. He had one down year and got booted.

Who wants Leach gone? I love Leach

We went 8-4 and finished 3rd in the west with an extremely tough schedule. Kentucky was our only bad loss, the other 3 were to division winner LSU, and Georgia and Bama. I’m happy with Leach and I hope the rumor of health problems aren’t true

False. Mullen inherited a lot of talent

Chad Bumphis
Jonathan Banks
Relf
Anthony Dixon
Vic Ballard
Corey Brookfield
Ladarius Perkins
Christian Ducre
KJ Wright
Chris White
Deontae Skinner
Quentin Saulsberry
Derek Sherrod
Pernell McPhee

shite honestly Mullen should have won more with that talent a lot of those guys made it to the nfl. Croom had talent he just couldn’t coach

Leach had like 49 scholarship players his first year and we played mostly freshman and sophomores. Moorhead tanked the program and we had a toxic locker room.
