Wazzu's stadium seats 32,952. Literally no P5 team will do a home and home with them

The question why did he take the job at Washington State in the first place? I am guessing no one wanted Leach? This time he took the MSU job because the he was getting beaten badly and might have gotten fired or get fired the following year. Also MSU wasd in needed a HC in the last minute! There was no else available at the last minute.

There's no way on God's green earth that Lane Kiffin hates being in Oxford.

Except that State did for like 2030-2031.
7070 is entitled to his opinion but in this case he is incorrect. Mississippi is a great place to live but we have done a great job propagating the myth that we are all terrible racists, that this is the arm pit of America so not too many people choose to move here.
It has worked well for some years but the farther we get away from the old days pre-1965, then the tougher it will be to keep the lie going.
Once someone moves here and gets settled in they never want to leave.
Leach and Kiffin love being here even under the current circumstances. At some point this too shall pass and we have some normalcy.
I still predict football will not return until the fall of 2021 on any level.

FIFY, Starkville is slightly worse than Tuscaloosa, which is fairly bad itself. Neither are worth defending. The university life is what drives the attraction to either.
Pullman and most of Eastern Washington are beautiful in their own rights. Then, add in a small town, college vibe with good infrastructure and it is no contest.
Tuscaloosa is a beautiful city! The campus is second to none as it takes up a great deal of space. The little bars and sumptuous eateries are as good as you'll find for a game day experience.
Very historical with southern and Spanish culture... One of the cities on the SEC map.....
Question: Have you ever been to Tuscaloosa?
Maybe you never been to Starkville either.
Fayetteville-little Rock, Baton Rouge, Gainesville, Oxford, Auburn-Opelieka, Knoxville, and College Station all less exciting and don't cater to football fans as well as Tuscaloosa. I would have said Columbia, Mo but they have enough problems right now.
Tuscaloosa, are you stupid?

Mullen is about the best coach Moo U will ever have. The fact that they were #1 at one point tells you the good job he did.

Did you know the AD finally made the right hired at the HC and that was what was missing and there ware some administration changes to make Mizzou better. Everything is a lot better now and the recruiting in-State and the surrounding areas like ESL and new recruiting places that have improved recruiting overall this year. This is going in the right direction for Mizzou. That is why I am very happy with the way things are going so far at Mizzou.

So, why did Kiffin turn down Arkansas to take the Ole Miss job to begin with?

Pay me $4.5 million a year and I can go do just about anything anywhere for a few years and very much act like I’m enjoying myself even if I’m not. Much less if I get to do it in a college town one of which is consistently considered among the top two or three in the SEC.

Leach absolutely loves politics
and he has been in Key West most of the time.
Because he's a pirate.

Started a thread on this a few weeks ago , but of course all of Mississippi shot me down. The day those two schools declare detente is the day they will alternate winning SEC Championshios. Until then, they will be bottom dwellers with the occasional 9 win season here and there.

I said...
Your thesis...
You support your argument with 3 sentences, and two are directly related to the Univeristy life. The other has no substance, as its history and culture are on par with any number of southern cities. Then, you reintroduced another argument that is once again related to Univeristy life and football fans. And, yes, UA has a gorgeous campus, which was never in question... as it is, again, part of the Univeristy life.
Are you stupid?
Nothing wrong with college towns on GameDay or while in college, but there isn't a great deal else Tuscaloosa or Starkville have to offer.

You just described Alabama college towns bra.
Don't disagree with the town description. But, Bama is certainly a destination job in CFB, so the "neither...or..." qualifier was important

However, the skiing is a lot better in Pullman.
btw did you know Leach would walk to work through a mountain pass in Pullman?

Scheduled and actually going through with it are two different things. I recall State playing at Ruston in the Croom years but I'm assuming yall are in better financial shape now

Leach has spent 28 of the past 31 years living in Mount Pleasant, IA, Valdosta, GA, Lubbock, TX and Pullman, WA. I think he's pretty used to small town living by now.
