I’ll be sure to tell my brown wife she married a racist according to this guy online that doesn’t have the mental capacity to understand historical context and is too stupid to see his own hypocrisy. There are a few reasons you ignored my question and don’t want to discuss Malcolm X.

Your entire post history is full of people calling you out for your idiocy and you calling them names.

Now sit your arse down while the adults talk.

How is this dangerous???

Because it is establishing the precedent that just because someone disagrees with something that occurred in the past, it should be changed, torn down, moved, etc. There's literally an article on ESPN from an Oklahoma State football player that wants an apology from Mike Gundy because he used a racist word in 1989. It's absolutely crazy.

No he's no longer there. He stepped down from that position 5-6 months ago. Connor Shaw is now in that role.

Gotcha. Didn't know that. I knew he had been back & forth a couple of times. Still might be wise to at least acknowledge what he is saying and not totally dismiss it.

Strom Thurmond (who had a black daughter), despite the chatter, was one of the most warm and engaging politicians of all time. As our culture cannibalizes itself, this Cultural Dissident just want to say that from personal experience. Now you may resume the destruction.

It's difference between something offensive and a disagreement. I guess I'm looking at it from the standpoint. Segregation was one of the worst times in America. We should want to get rid of everything that is associated with it. Just like with the Holocaust....and as far as 1989 with gundy, well that is nonsense

I acknowledge what he's saying. I just don't agree with it. I believe it's a bad precedent to set.

You truly are a fricking moron. The democrats were wrong about segregation. It shouldn’t have been the black folks from the white folks, but the dumb fricks like yourself from the rest of intelligent society.

It depends on what they disagree with.

Desegregation isn’t exactly tax reform.

Slavery isn’t something you can just agree to disagree on.

Or the University could just admit the mistake and change the name, this isn't an econonmic conversation, it's a common fricking decency one.

So you don't think refunding Strom's estate that money is the decent thing to do? Especially when the charge for name change is coming from 2 millionaires? arse, grass, or cash... nobody renames buildings for free

I can appreciate your outlook on the situation. However there will always be reminders of segregation. It is woven into our society. We should then get rid of anything associated with Malcolm X, Black Panther party, Black Nationalism, etc. as they are all reminders of segretation.

I clearly disagree with slavery. However we are just discussing "reminders" of slavery. Not the act in itself. There are constant reminders to slavery, segregation, etc. woven into our society that we simply can't just cover up. It's asinine to think that we can.

......you do know all these people and groups you mention were trying make things better right??? Black panther party were protecting black people from racists, provide medicare and etc. Malcolm x was another one was trying to make things better during that era. It's not the same at all. Thurmond was for segregation. Even with ncaap that was for helping black people who were facing injustice...I can't believe you comparing the two lol

It isn’t about trying to cover up certain aspects of our history. It’s about replacement.

They want to replace our history with their own version to satisfy their desire for power and control.

They’re not playing the same game you are and your attempts at pleasant conversation will do nothing.

I can't have a discussion with someone that thinks Malcolm X and the Black Panther party weren't part of the problem with the racial divide in this country. Moving along.

Malcolm X was a segregationist who sought assistance from the KKK to assist in establishment for black subsistence communities/country in the American South.

That's one thing

To be honest, I think we should get rid of all wellness centers.

Why are we degrading fat people. They are people to. They matter

And while we are at it everytime some hot chick turns down an old, fat, bald guy that's discrimination in my book.

Why do you get to frick people based on their looks

Good. GTFO. You’re the problem. Not a building named for Storm Thurmond.
