Why not just wait for LSU to break said rule, and then issue the appropriate punishment?

Maybe Sankey is trying to keep Louisiana’s Governor and the Athletic Department from doing something stupid enough that would force the stiff penalties/expulsion which would severely alter the conference and numbers. He’s trying to keep it all together but Louisiana is too childish to grasp that concept

I do at times just enjoy watching teams like USM and La Tech play because it feels more like what football used to be. Kind of nice watching that level

I really haven’t met any bandwagon LSU fans but then again I don’t live around many. Only true fans can be OM and State fans because of all the years of misery lol. We don’t have that problem

I pull for State and Ole Miss when LSU is out, 2014 was a fun year in the state.

It shouldn’t exist. Fat Boy got his arse
handed to him and he’s still running
his mouth about it.

Whatever. Carry on.

Hands down the most exciting year I can remember. I still go back and watch those Egg Bowl highlights because we were not supposed to win that game. That’s when we had better defensive teams. I kind of liked us under Freeze until he messed everything up

Maybe, but threats only get you so far. If LSU truly believes the SEC isn't going to kick them out, then all of this is for naught.

The SEC has stated its position; they created stiff penalties, yet they don't seem especially confident in enforcing those penalties. They started making expulsion threats before the rule was ever broken, why is that?

You never put all off your cards on the table, yet the conference immediately laid all of theirs down despite no rules even being broken. It's like a cop threatening to throw someone in jail because he thinks they may speed, it seems weak and irresponsible. I realize many here are unable to look past their anti-LSU biases, and I realize I am also biased, but no one has been able to make a good case as to why the conference is so desperate here.

God, I wish LSU would just ask to be released from their SEC obligations and go join the ACC or Big12.

There is absolutely no way the school will be treated fairly anymore.

And before you come at me with….LSU can’t afford the loss in revenue, you need to understand, I don’t care where LSU plays its sports or at what level it plays sports.

What I read is SEC wants LSU to take some sort of penalty for doing something wrong real or phantom.

SEC was disappointed when LSU filled fo dismiss...they thought we were making progress

I don't know why the rest of the SEC schools find dragging this out acceptable

LSU should die on the hill of not accepting penalties, unless there is some massive smoking gun that hasn't been released.

If the conference will punish you for breaking no rules, while letting other schools skate, what does that conference actually benefit you?

I would rather go big 12 then us accept penalty unless there is some unknown

Ah yes, the very objective Ross Dellenger who has certainly never been touched intimately by Scott Woodward and who certainly has no bones to pick with LSU.

It’s funny to see Bama still gargling Sankey’s balls on levels only rivaled by Ole Miss. Cutting of your noses to spite LSU. Fascinating.
