Sankey is a dumb count
LSU means more to the SEC then his opinions.
At this point I'd rather LSU move to the Big 12 a d let Sankey lead yall to the land of stale arse and vinger if he expects the other conferences to abide by his decision hes a rube.
I'll miss some of the rivalries but with the new 9 game schedule we dont get Florida or Auburn but very 3rd year.
Sankey got worked over in the TV contract and is still but hurt. Treating College football like its the 8th grade cabbage ball league will bite the conference in the arse.

LSU, Texas, Mizzou, Aggie, Ole Miss, Alabama; all should be expelled for rostering Pros and tampering with players on other teams. I probably missed someone.

I know a lot of people that are USM fans but also fans of one P4 school or another.

Mostly because barely anyone grows up a G5 fan from the start.

Whether LSU broke rules or not, is irrelevant?

Wow.

The need to prove someone guilty of a crime or breaking a specific rule does not exist in civil court. You only have to show liability based on the balance of probabilities.

It doesn't matter that LSU didn't ultimately roster the players. The SEC only has to show that a breach of the membership agreement more likely than not occurred. The public statements Kiffin made to the media are direct evidence of a coordinated campaign and a lack of institutional control which is what the SEC is accusing LSU of.

This idea that you need a 'smoking gun' rule violation simply doesn't apply here.

They have no issue with all of the other schools trying the same things. People are still buying that this has anything to do with LSU instead of seeing it for the distraction that it really is.

You only know about criminal court because it's the only one that's ever applied to you.

Thats now how it works in federal court.

the standard is different when suing to prevent hypothetical future behavior.
Liability based on the Balance of probabilities is not even at issue here. In no way does this apply in the SEC case.
Speculation about hypothetical future behavior is not enough to sustain a moot lawsuit in federal court.

There are specific elements to have standing in a case asking for injuctive relief, courts have rejected standing based on a speculative chain of possibilities without proof of a specific plan to engage in conduct.

Please link any statement that are direct evidence of a coordinated campaign and LOIC? I've never seen anything like that, and I've followed this pretty closely.

It seems unwise for the conference to attempt to punish LSU when no violations actually took place, especially when LSU can easily point to other violations that did actually take place and went unpunished. That starts to look like collusion and/or discrimination at a certain point.

It's not hypothetical future behavior, it's ongoing behavior. You know, the point of this thread as the SEC just filed a response today on why it shouldn't be dismissed, citing the Will Wade stuff.

I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not going to pretend to know all the ins and outs, but I know the basic principles and when it comes to who will win the lawsuit what I said applies 100%.

There is 0 chance you missed what Kiffin said in the media.

I missed anything he said that was "direct evidence" of LOIC or an organized campaign.

"Stupid games" =/= backing up your statements with actual facts.
