Without Burrow he never comes close to a national title.

Same could be argued for Jimbo/Jameis.

Overall career, taking everything into account? It'd literally be impossible to put anyone else other than Saban #1.

Most Badges goes to Saban but he's proven at LSU and his first year at Bama he isn't the best coach on the field and needs alot better talent to beat well coached teams. He wasn't on the top of alot of college teams list after he went to the NFL and lost to ULM at Bama before he got top of the nation talent. Now everyone can buy players and his coaching is showing again.

Before he retires he will be a has been. It will only take Smart staying at UGA, BK at LSU, A&M buying a bunch of top players and may be one more coach to rise up and he will be losing 3 or 4 games a year at least. Half his career at Bama he has only had to deal Miles and no one else.

Drink has yet to have a winning record at Mizzou. Pittman has done so 2/3 years. Congrats on your SB win 2/3 years

Hardly our SB. Basically our guaranteed W is all.

You guys should erect a statue of the Titboss though. Hang your hat on that.

Drink has yet to have a winning season.

His seat should be warm going into this season.

Not a difficult task to do.

Petrino should have beaten them with Missouri State had not for that fourth quarter rally.

I don't think that is an overstatement. But if he can squeeze out 7 wins and especially if he adds Wingo to his 5-star recruiting success, the face of which is currently just Wnaneri, he'll be safe for another year.

Ed Orgeron did all of this and won a natty and had a better winning percentage than Jimbo and he wasn't a very good coach.

Sure, but we’re talking about media coaches’ lists….

How many of the other coaches on the list have done that?

I guess it would depend on whether you're judging coaches based off of what they did 3 years ago or where they're at right now and where they're going.

For instance, Jimbo has been at A&M for 5 seasons now and his biggest accomplishment is an Orange Bowl victory, Heupel just accomplished that in only his second year.

Totally false in year 2 he won the west with 16 starters that were Mike Sheila recruits. In 2009 he won the NC with 13 Mike Sheila recruits.

So he won at a high level in year 2 and 3 with very average rated recruits. He developed them into championship players

These list are so MFing stupid. Also, how can you even rank a coach, Arnett, who hasn't coached a full season. He might be the next Knute Rockne, he might be the next Ears Whitworth, or he might be somewhere in between. You shouldn't even have him ranked at all.

Clark Lea is better than Napier. I mean, he's at Vandy and they'll probably go to a bowl this year.

Congrats on giving you coach a raise and extension for not having a winning season. Seems like you clowns are the ones wanting to build statues

Hugh Freeze has proven more in the SEC than Napier. Those 2 should be swapped.

Actually, Freeze should probably be in the top half.

Didn’t he beat Arkansas with D2 school

Freeze should be top 5.

Dude had OM a 4th and 25 away from Atlanta for the first time ever. That’s an amazing thing.

He also beat Saban back to back
