We’ll revisit this in 10 years when 4+ schools average over 10k in attendance. College baseball is far from “niche” ya fricking dunce.

Love the troll but never put baseball with the Big 2.

If you leave the state of MS and a few southern states college baseball isn’t even recognized.

Lol… everything bammer sucks at is not a top tier sport, right??? I’m sure y’all would probably say softball is a top tier sport if you could get away w it.

In my humble opinion, I’d say if the university can make money on the sport, and a large portion of the fan base are invested it, then that makes it top tier.

Alabama fans LOVED baseball in the 90s. These new fans were not around for that so they don’t understand.

They also built a wonderful new facility, hired a new coach, all for a “niche” sport

Yeah… sheesh, that’s why there’s so much parity in baseball these days. Because nobody likes or recognizes it.

In fact, there’s so much parity that every year there are teams that one wouldn’t even consider contenders running roughshod through brackets to play in regionals, supers, and CWS. Just like basketball. To me, that shows there’s significant attention given to college baseball at universities across the nation.

So jealous. If you pigs would've won it would be insufferable around here, and the greatest thing ever.

Fake news. Three major sports are football, women’s golf and men’s basketball. In that order.

I wonder why it's schools like SCar, Moo St, Arky, Vandy, etc. who hype up college baseball. Hmm...

You do realize only about 10 schools make a profit on baseball, right?

Im happy for msu. I have lived in ms my entire life.. their fans needed a national title. Baseball is important to their fans. But outside of a couple schools, no one really cares about baseball. Not a shot at msu's title, but it will never be close to football or basketball.
