Why are Bama fans trying to convince themselves he sucks? You guys must be jelly….its ok I would be too lol

Most Alabama fans think Kiffin is a fantastic coordinator and a good head coach. They also think he is immature and has skeletons in his closest and can at times be his own worst enemy. He has yet to play for a SEC championship or make the CFP, though he should have last season and should this season. Alabama fans are just confused why a program would sell their soul to get him. Now, I have a question for you.

Do LSU fans now believe a coach who went a combined 4-4 against Brian Kelly and Billy Napier is an elite coach worthy of being the highest paid coach in history? That is a simple yes or no question.

Kiffin has a higher win percentage at Ole Miss than Kelly at LSU

So now you don’t want to use Brian’s all time winning percentage when that’s pretty much what you’ve used for the past 3.7 years to prop him up.

So what you are looking for is a coach who wins 10 games half of the time and makes LSU nationally relevant? Heck yeah, Lane Kiffin can do that. Of course , Brian Kelly won 10 games 2 of his 3 full seasons. The cool thing is that if LSU hires Lane Kiffin we will see which one of us is correct.

We see who was right about Brian Kelly. Maybe this time will be different for you.

And you can save this too. I do think Kiffin is a better coach than Kelly. But I do not think Kiffin is an elite coach worth what he is about to get paid. Kiffin will not meet the expectations that LSU fans are building up for him. In three to five years LSU fans will be on the warpath again.

Holy crap, you are right. I gave him credit for this year.

So Lane actually has a combined losing record against Kelly and Napier. Wow.

He ran way too many jet sweeps, imo. And they rarely got more than four or five yards. Lane just loved that play for some reason.

So you're saying LSU would be better off not hiring him?

He seems to think you could do a better job.

Because he's made Ole Miss a top 10 to 15 program consistently, which has not been done since the 60's.

That said, should he be the highest paid coach in the country? No. But as I said before, Day and Smart aren't' unhappy about this. They'll get raises soon.

I've used his win percentage at LSU.

There are a plethora of posts over the past year from multiple LSU fans that LSU was/is seriously lacking talent all over the field. According to most, lack of talent was the issue for LSU.

Slavery is illegal and immoral. You need to give OP his freedom back.

Granted, he doesn't know how to do anything else besides hump your leg, so you'll probably have to keep him around as an indentured servant.

Fair assessment. The whole ordeal plus the NIL transfer portal BS has really decreased my level of excitement about CFB.

My opinion of Kiffin is the same as it was with Kelly.

Both have won a lot at schools with lesser talent, they're good coaches.

Let's see what Kiffin can do with more talent at LSU, if he is the hire.

I don't think either of them are elite head coaches.
