The only person, place or thing that Lane Kiffin has any loyalty to, is Lane Kiffin. Anyone who thinks differently is either naive, or a straight up idiot.

When he left Tennessee for USC, he had family members who were on his staff at UT. He did not bother to tell them he was leaving and they weren't going with him. They found out by watching ESPN.

I'm sure that he was jumping at the chance to go live in a city that smells like swamp arse.

He was interested in coaching at a school where you can win championships.

Being ranked in the top 10 after week 2 at a school that hasn't won any kind of a championship in 70 years. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for a championship school.

I see four teams that have won conference and national championships and one team that ... well ... has this:

He left Monte!!!

Seriously, who did he leave, that were family members, that did not know?

He sure as hell told Coach O he was leaving.

I believe the UT Lane would have left for Auburn a few years ago.

His brother-in-law, Layla's brother. He was on the staff and did not find out about the USC hire until he heard it on ESPN. Lane didn't bother to tell him he was going to USC, and he would not be going with them.

Monte Kiffin was the only one on the staff with the guts to hang around and face the media. He did several interviews the next couple of days after the news broke. He answered all the questions as honestly and as straightforward as he could. I had a lot of respect for Monte after that. I'm not sure what happened to his son. His son did not inherit that sense of integrity.

A decade later, and Lane Kiffin is still a disloyal, self-centered, narcissistic piece of shite.

I would not trade you Josh Heupel for Lane Kiffin and three more just like him.
