Lane Kiffin was doing a big promo for season tickets at Florida Atlantic and he sounded and looked like he was almost comatose. It was so bad it was hilarious. Not sure how many tickets he sold.

Meh, Lane has always been a dweeby locker room speaker. That’s just his personality.

What makes Lane a very good college football head coach are his abilities to tout his career record as a brilliant offensive mind selling a vision in 1-1 closed door settings to recruits that fit his system and how he inherited from his father an unyielding obsession of being an X & O chalkboard/film junkie.

In fairness to Lane, they actually intentionally made that FAU video to look as cheesy as possible and for it to seem like he was miserable because he knew a video like that would go viral on social media, thus creating attention for a program that otherwise is never thought of.

For better or worse, Lane has always subscribed to the notion that “any media attention is good as long as they are talking about you”. Like how he single handedly manufactured a media frenzied blood feud with Urban Meyer and Florida his entire brief tenure at Tennessee. Sure, he made an arse of himself. But at least the power T logo was on SportsCenter constantly despite him inheriting a program that went 5-7 the year before he took over

NGL I didn't notice the "pearl" sheen on the helmets on the otherwise excellent and world-class CW broadcast, but those look classy.

I'm really looking forward to Ole Miss beating Florida's arse this year.

lol I don’t see how that fires anyone up. He’s a good strategist for sure but lame In the motivation department. That wasn’t inspiring but I guess it works for ole miss. Kinda like Pittman. His stuff is the same ole same ole.

Yeah Lane is not a Rah-rah guy. He is extremely laid back and low key. Autistic savant to understanding how to bend a defense to his will though.
