How about a playoff berth? We still talking about that one time 7 years ago?
Good point, and also national titles.

So you acknowledge Kiffin was a desperation hire? LSU couldn’t do better their drama and being broke so they gambled on a guy that has neither won anything or built a sustainable program.

You just can’t help yourself by continuing to post ITT and show how stupid you are. Sorry Kiffin bailed on your sorry arse program, but that was 15 years ago and it’s time to get over it.
Even Heupel put out feelers for other jobs last month trying to gtfo

LSU went out and got their guy. There was 0 desperation in the hire at all.

Like clockwork, A&M extended their mediocre coach despite no hardware

They overpaid for a guy to take the job. Yes, they got “their guy”, a guy that wasn’t won at any level, that carries a ton of baggage, that will leave LSU if given the opportunity.

Things that didn’t happen for 1000.

Nobody was stupid enough to pay that much for Kiffin.

As an aside, is LSU trying to avoid more buyouts by not letting Kiffin replace/upgrade staff? Usually a coaching change sees a couple of guys retained and rest released.

Based on his past performances and maturity? He’s more likely to retire in 3 years while suing LSU to honor his contract.

I'm not saying Lane Kiffin is Saban but the 2 schools he was the head coach of and had the players he wanted without someone else pulling the strings he's been largely successful not elite but successful. We will see what happens.

He was probably going to Florida for the same money until the AD put the clamps on him.

The entirety of the offensive staff is new.

People that know how to manage an organization don't fix things that aren't broken so the defensive staff will remain.
